Chapter 12

"I was waiting for you my son," he said smiling", I think it is time to tell you everything now."

Lloyd didn't understand what his father was getting at, so he thought about it, but there were too many things racing through his head.

"What do you mean?" did this one.

"Have you ever wondered why your mother wasn't here?"

"Once, but you abandoned me so I prefer to forget all that."

"Well," Garmadon turned around sitting on his bed while keeping his gaze on his son", well, that's what you were led to believe."

"Believe ?"

"We", he said, emphasizing it", have not abandoned you. In the past, and this still continues, I already had my ideas of world domination and power, so when I knew that your mother, Misako, was pregnant, I was just waiting for you to come into this world."

"You were waiting for me ? You who now want to kill me and remove me from this world is not very coherent," he said regarding his father.

"But...Why did Master Wu tell me all this then? Why did he tell me that you abandoned me?"

"Oh," Garmadon laughed," well my brother has a passion for secrets. He constantly seeks to protect reality, thinking the lie is better, but he only delays the inevitable."

Lloyd wanted to say something back. He opened his mouth, but nothing came out. So he turned around before hearing his father's last sentences, still laughing quite devilishly.

"Everyone else knows, only you remain in the dark."

It was too much for the blond, he wasted no time once outside the prison. He got into his vehicle and drove off at full speed, having only one goal in mind: to find out the truth.

Once he arrived and entered the monastery, he slammed the door to announce his presence. Everyone turned around, surprised to see so much hatred in Lloyd's eyes. Master Wu took the first step, stepping forward while wanting to be reassuring. He placed his hand on his nephew's shoulder but he violently pushed it away.

"Lloyd?" asked his Sensei", what's going on?"

"Why !?" he shouted, now holding back his tears, "why are you hiding so many things from me!?"

"It's for your own good..."

"My good ? Oh yes, I'm the only one who doesn't know everything! I told you that you wanted to control my life to the point of hiding the truth from me!"

Master Wu wanted to say something back, seeing what subject his brother had brought up, but Lloyd stopped him, furious.

" No! Stop with that, how can I believe you now? All of you."

He then left in anger and slammed his bedroom door again. Everyone looked at each other in disbelief, not having understood the whole point of the argument before Kai got up and went with the blond. He entered slowly, first signaling his presence by knocking and then closing the door behind him. Lloyd stood in the middle of the room with his head bowed.
