Determined to wipe the smirk off her face, I charged towards Hanabi. I feinted a jump, anticipating a kick block. As she rose to counter, I dropped low, aiming to sweep her legs. Reacting with impressive agility, Hanabi leaped over my attempt.
We circled each other, the tension crackling between us. With a spinning kick, Hanabi sent a cloud of dust billowing into the air. Using the dust as a smokescreen, she flanked me and landed a solid blow to my arm. I reacted instinctively, backflipping out of the dust cloud just as a searing pain shot through my arm.
A dark shape materialized above me – Hanabi descending with an axe kick aimed at my previous position. I scrambled sideways, narrowly avoiding the blow. "Oh no," I breathed as she lunged at me again, a flurry of punches aimed at my head.
Parrying her attacks, I created an opening and landed a sharp elbow strike to her chest. Capitalizing on her stumble, I slid my foot behind hers, sending her crashing to the ground. With a swift movement, I pinned her down, my fist hovering above her head.
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pressure in my groin – Hanabi, using her exceptional flexibility, had contorted her leg to create a stalemate.
"Enough!" Hiashi's voice boomed across the arena, snapping us out of our combat trance. I helped Hanabi to her feet, and we bowed to each other, a grudging respect evident in our eyes.
"The spar is concluded," Hiashi declared. "It's a draw."
