HURRYING THROUGH the empty school corridors the girl managed to make it just in time for the preparations. Entering the room with a reliefed sigh her bag's handle slipped off her shoulder, now in her hand's tight grip.

"Hey, Y/N! Did you bring it?"
"Sure did."

She replied as she walked up to the group of students currently busy painting some handmade decorations. They had already managed to finish up most of the ornaments, now sitting prettily atop a group of tables. Looking around she admired her classmate's hard work, happy knowing they took their work serious.

"Decorations seem to be going the good way. Has anyone handled the stands?"
"Yes, Bora is handling those."

A sigh of relief escaped her lips. Atleast it was someone responsible this time. Last year a senior male student had been in charge of them, and everything turned out disastrous. The festival was almost cancelled, but with a bit of teamwork they had managed to salvage everything.

"Where is she now?"
"She should be here in ten."
Y/N nodded understandingly, deciding to look over the rest of the schedule waiting for the time to pass.

Soon enough the door swinged open, happiness radiating off her face as Bora marched inside.
"I'm here!"
Having noticed the H/C girl she smiled brightly, rushing towards her before pulling her into a big, warm hug which her friend happily returned.

"Y/N! Good seeing you here."
"Likewise. I heard you're in charge of the stands this year hm?"
She replied teasingly, watching her grin at her remarks.
"Yeah! I was happy to hear I got chosen this year.
Last year was terrible.."
"Tell me about it."

Together they looked over the planning, discussing every detail. After an hour or so they finished up. The two greeted the rest of the students, walking out together.

"So.. how are things with your job?"
Bora asked, tapping her index finger against her chin as she watched her intently.
"Going great."
"That's good. What about your player?"

Y/N stopped in her tracks, watching the girl's smile widen at her reaction.
"I'm guessing there's a lot you've got to tell me."

And so, she explained everything to Bora, from what happened after the match to what happened yesterday, going into detail with everything.
When she finally finished, her friend crossed her arms across her chest, raising her eyebrow.

"And you're telling me you still believe he isn't into you huh?"
"Well, yeah."
"You are so stupid, oh my god."
"Bora! I am not."
"I'm holding back from slapping some sense into you Y/N. Are you really not seeing it?"

This left her thinking again. Things were strange, yes. And from everything she had heard from the other players, the change in behaviour she noticed over time, and the warm, fuzzy feelings in her chest at the slightest gestures, everything started to become clear.

She was in love with him.
And maybe, just maybe, he felt the same

All she could do was try and make the first move, hoping that he'd catch onto it.
