The following days unfolded in a whirlwind of activity. Jungwon and Sunoo, despite their initial awkwardness as unexpected travel companions, turned out to be a surprisingly good team. They bickered playfully over sightseeing plans, with Jungwon championing historical sites and Sunoo pushing for quirky cafes with the most Instagrammable interiors.
Yumi, ever the pragmatist, became the voice of reason, reminding them that the country's capital offered a delightful mix of both. We spent our days exploring the cobbled streets of the Old Town, marveling at the majestic Tower and the baroque beauty of a popular country's Church. Jungwon, a history buff, regaled us with facts and legends, while Sunoo, with his uncanny ability to find hidden gems, led us down charming alleyways to discover off-the-beaten-path cafes and quirky souvenir shops.
In the evenings, we gathered at my apartment, the tiny kitchen buzzing with activity as we attempted to recreate traditional dishes –potato dumplings, being a particularly hilarious and flour-dusted endeavor. Jungwon, a surprisingly adept learner, mastered the art of rolling the dough, while Sunoo, bless his enthusiastic heart, kept burning the onions.
The evenings were filled with laughter, shared stories, and late-night card games that devolved into friendly (and sometimes not-so-friendly) competition. As days turned into weeks, a comfortable camaraderie settled between us. Jungwon and I found stolen moments – a lingering touch of hands as we crossed a street, a whispered joke that only we understood.
One evening, after a particularly disastrous attempt at making soup, we found ourselves sprawled on the living room floor, watching a cheesy rom-com. Yumi, nestled between Sunoo and Jungwon, was engrossed in the movie, oblivious to the subtle shift in the atmosphere.
Jungwon, leaning against the armrest, his gaze met mine. A silent conversation passed between us, a question lingering in his eyes. I took a deep breath, my heart fluttering in my chest. With a mischievous grin, I pushed myself closer, whispering in his ear, "Think you can handle another round of UNO?"
A slow smile spread across his face. "Always up for a challenge," he whispered back, his eyes twinkling with amusement. As the familiar sounds of the card game filled the room, a warmth spread through me, a comforting knowledge that even with the unexpected arrival of Sunoo, this unplanned adventure had brought us closer, weaving a new thread of connection into the tapestry of our relationship.

Fresh bread filled the air as I left the bakery, a bag of yummy pastries in hand. Yumi and Sunoo ditched us for a museum full of amber stuff, which left me and Jungwon free to explore twisty, secret streets. We walked slow, sunlight peeking through buildings and making cool patterns on the ground. We stopped at a painting on a wall - a fancy bird rising from fire. Jungwon whispered stuff about it, making me shiver.
We turned a corner and bam! A hidden garden, tucked away from the city noise. A big tree with tons of leaves made a cool shade, and a little fountain went plop, plop, plop. It felt like a secret place, like nobody knew about it.
Suddenly, Jungwon grabbed my hand, his touch sending tingles everywhere. We just stood there for a sec, not saying anything but feeling good. Then, he spoke all quiet-like. "This city is awesome," he said, looking at the fountain and then back at me.
"But not as awesome as you," I blurted out before I could stop myself.
His eyes got big and a smile played on his lips. We got closer, slow-like, his eyes looking deep into mine. "Jina," he whispered, his breath tickling my ear.
That one word made me want to kiss him like crazy. I leaned in and our lips met. It was a kiss that was both super sweet and really passionate. He tasted like mint and something else, something only Jungwon could taste like. My heart hammered in my chest like a drum solo.
Just then, a loud noise cut us off. Yumi and Sunoo stood there, looking confused and kinda shocked. We jumped apart, me all flustered and Jungwon with a little pink on his cheeks. The air crackled with, well, you know, kissy feelings.
"Oh," Yumi said, a big smile on her face. Sunoo, bless his heart, just looked lost.
"Ice cream?" Sunoo suggested, holding up a bag. "My treat?"
I peeked at Jungwon, a silent question hanging there. He winked at me, all playful-like.
"Ice cream sounds awesome," I said, smiling back. We might've gotten interrupted, but the feeling was still there, strong and yummy, like the ice cream we were about to eat. The adventure kept going, and with it, our love story, written in quick kisses and secret moments.
