"𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐭''

𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐀 𝐅𝐄𝐖 weeks since the whole accident and Elizabeth was beginning to feel better, although Charlie had insisted on the girl staying home until she was completely better, the demand annoying her. She could still walk and stuff, she just had to take it slow, very slow.

That's why, at twelve pm on a school night even though she wouldn't even be attending school, she was sneaking out. It probably wasn't among the smartest of decisions she had ever made but she wanted to go out. Bella had gotten to go to prom tonight while Elizabeth sat at home actually crying over not being able to go.

The only reason she had cried over it was because she had been watching the Notebook again and once she finished it, she was reminded of not being able to go to prom. So her tears were mix of sadness from watching the Notebook and because of the girl not being able to go to prom. Stupid prom, she grumbled internally.

Since Charlie was on overdrive all the time, trying to make sure his girls were safe and sound, it wasn't exactly easy sneaking out. That's why she was currently climbing down a tree that was right in front of her bedroom window. It was definitely not easy but she had managed, landing with a huff when her feet met the ground, a slight stinging in her ribs making her tense.

"Stupid injuries" Elizabeth groaned, very quietly. Ducking down, she snuck past the front of the house and began walking down the road, not exactly sure on where she was going. She could take a walk in the woods but she knew that was even more dangerous but she wasn't as afraid as she would've been a month ago, she wasn't as weak as she had once been. She had powers of sorts and while she didn't exactly know how to use them, she knew they were there.

So she turned a corner and began walking into the woods, going deeper and deeper. The moonlight scattered throughout the forest, the leaves blocking some of it. Even at night the forest was beautiful, the animals that you wouldn't normally see during the day running wild.

Elizabeth wondered what it would be like to live like that, having to hide in the daylight but when it turned dark you could finally run free, she wondered if that was how the Cullens felt. You know, since they technically couldn't be out when the sun was at its highest or even slightly out. Bella had told her about how Edward had sparkled like a disco ball and the thought made Elizabeth laugh.

The sound of footsteps behind her led to her quickly spinning around on her heels, only to find nothing there. For a few minutes she stood there, glancing intently throughout the forest until she felt as though nothing was there. Once, she felt safer of sorts, having not seen anything, she continued walking.

Overtime, Elizabeth had tried to keep her father's words in hindsight, but she knew she needed to think about them at some point. He hadn't just made a statement in that room at the hospital, he had made a threat, and he always followed up with his threats. Elizabeth couldn't help but sigh at the thought, she didn't know what was coming but she knew it couldn't be good, she had to get stronger.
