"You took her back?!" Jen's voice rose, close enough to almost burst my eardrums.

"I had to, Jen. She was practically begging for another chance, and she doesn't do that very often." I whispered the last part.

"After everything that's happened?! She was playing you for like a whole month!" She shook me as if trying to get her point across and make some sense fall into me.

I am aware of everything she has done, but I wasn't exactly a saint either. We both fucked up and we both had our reasons, but I can't leave her without trying one more time.

"Yes Jen! Anyway, it's none of your business it's between me and her. So stay out of it, please. If I need your advice, i'll ask for it but for now please just leave it." I plead, i'm stressing about it enough as it is, I don't need Jen adding to it.

She sighed and shook her head lightly, "Alright Rory, but don't say I didn't warn you." She turns and walks away.

I let out a deep sigh that I didn't realise I was holding in before I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"What was all that about?" I turned around to see Alexandria looking down at me, her eyes taking a scan over my face.

I placed my hand over hers and gently squeezed reassuringly.

"Don't worry about it, it's just Jen being Jen." I gave her a small smile.

"Hm." She looked deeply into my eyes as if she was searching for something.

"It's okay, I promise." I went on my tiptoes and planted a small kiss on her cheek.

Her face softened as I returned to my normal height.

"Okay, darling, but you must tell me if something is wrong." Her voice was stern but her hand trailing down to my side was telling me a different story. She was actually being sweet for once, not controlling, but kind.

"Of course, Alex." I smiled.

"Now, I have a class to teach so I need to go but can I call you later?" She asked but her voice wavered, like she was nervous of my answer.

"I'd like that." I smiled up at her.

A few seconds of silence went past before she looked around us and planted a delicate kiss on my cheek but I could see she wanted more.

"Kiss me." I whispered in her ear before she had the chance to straighten back up.

"What?" She sounded shocked.

"Please just kiss me, Alexandria." I pleaded, looking up into her eyes.

It didn't take much convincing before her lips were upon mine. I sighed into the kiss, missing the feeling of her soft, warm lips.

I felt her hand gently cup my jaw but before I let her get carried away, I let out a small chuckle and pulled away from her.

"I miss this. I miss how much you want me." I smirked subconsciously, the confidence in me booming as she returned the same look.

"And I have missed that brave attitude of yours." She looked me up and down as if she was going to swallow me whole, a look that makes me just want to curl up and die.
