The sun was just starting to set as she pulled up into an almost empty car park."Where are we?" I climbed out of her car as she came round to my side, offering out her hand.
"Just follow me, darling." I took her hand and walked beside her, trying to ignore how the petname made me feel warm inside.
A couple of minutes went by before I felt a cool breeze drift past me, accompanied by a faint smell of saltwater.
"Do you trust me?" We stopped in place, her hand gently squeezed mine as I hesitated with my response.
"Yes." My heart jumped as I saw the corner of her mouth rise slightly, I've missed that smile.
"Close your eyes." Alexandria walked behind me, placing her hands over my eyes which left me seeing nothing but complete darkness.
I felt her slowly push me forward with her body, the breeze getting harsher before we stopped.
She removed her hands from my face but I kept my eyes closed.
"Open them." Her voice was gentle, as if she was almost whispering.
I opened my eyes and my breath was almost taken away. In front of me sat a cute, wooden table with two chairs which sat near the edge of a cliff under a string of warm lights. I walked towards the table, in the distance I could see the view of an amazing, sandy beach. The moonlight graced the waves, creating a shine amongst the ocean. It was the prettiest sight I had ever seen, apart from the woman who stood behind me, of course.
I turned around, feeling tears well in my eyes.
"Lex this is beautiful, thank you." I ran back over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.
"Not as beautiful as you, my sweet girl." I felt her hand place a strand of my fallen hair behind my ear before she tilted my head up towards her, wiping the tear that fell onto my cheek. "Please don't cry, you're too pretty to cry."
"I'm sorry, I just- I have really missed you." Tears begun streaming down my cheeks but I haven't felt this happy in over a month.
She smiled at me before wrapping her arms around me, returning my hug. I have never felt safer than the position I am in right now. I feel as though it's just me and her in this big, lonely world.
"I know, little one." Her voice soothed me, her hand gently caressing the back of my head as she let me cry it out.
A few moments passed before she spoke again, "How about we sit down? I brought you here because I felt as though we need to talk. Like, seriously, have a talk." I looked up, her facial features seeming to soften as I realised the gravity of our situation. I felt my throat run dry, anxious thoughts beginning to swarm my mind.
As if she could sense my unease, she placed a short but loving kiss upon my forehead. "Don't stress baby, this is a chance for you to lay everything out on the table. I want to know exactly how you feel so we can fully understand each other. Does that sound good to you?" She looked into my eyes, searching for any sign of uncertainty.
I smiled softly and nodded, "That's a good idea, thank you for doing this, Alexandria." I wrapped my arms around her in a quick hug, earning a chuckle from the elder.
"You're too sweet..."

A couple of hours went by before we finished up, the urge to eat making itself apparent.
