Ino yawned as she ran her fingers through her platinum blonde hair, her robin egg blue eyes half opened with exhaustion. 'Whoever decided to make Genin tests in the morning must be a real shithead.' She carefully rubbed her eyes before proceeding to tie her hair up in a high ponytail. She tiredly smiled when her ponytail was perfectly aligned with her back, and stood up from her chair. Ino stretched, her back cracking, before leaving her room. "How did you sleep, little bud?" She heard her father ask as he set a plate of breakfast on the table. She kissed her father on the cheek before sitting down, responding, "Fine, which surprised me because I thought I was going to sleep like shi-" She cut herself off when she recieved a warning look from her father, "-taki from all the training and experimenting."
Her father shrugged before smiling proudly and placing a hand on her shoulder, "That means you're blooming, little bud." Ino smiled before checking the time, only for her eyes to widen. "OH MY GOD! I'M GOING TO BE LATE!" She jumped up from her seat and shoved some food in her mouth before running out of her home. "Vye Tat!" She yelled over her shoulder with her mouth full before jumping onto the roof.
Ino chewed her food and swallowed as she made her way towards the training ground her new sensei told her to arrive at. When there, she blinked when she found no one waiting. "Um...I'm on time, right?" She looked around for her teammates, Shikamaru and Shino.
Ino huffed before sitting down on the grass with her legs crossed over each other and her hands behind her so she was leaning back. She sighed, "Guess I'll just wai-"
A kunai whizzed past her, cutting her cheek and ear slightly before stabbing the ground behind her. Her eyes widened as she immediately stood up, her body tense. Suddenly, a barrage of kunai and shuriken shot towards her. Ino gasped before jumping out of the way, rolling on the ground, and standing back up. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!" She screamed until a hand covered her mouth and pulled her into the foilage.

She pressed her back against the tree, forcing herself to breathe quietly, as she kept her Byakugan activated. 'What's happening?' She asked herself, 'Where's my team?'
Minato sat in front of her with his sole tail wagging back and forth calmly and his cerulean blue eyes gleaming with worry. 'I don't know, Hinata-chan, but the enemy is skilled with wind natured chakra.' Minato spoke in her mind.
Hinata saw the enemy's chakra signature standing in the middle of the training ground, patiently waiting for someone to come out. 'Look for any other classmates of yours, maybe they'll help you.' Minato suggested, 'I'll cover you.' Hinata nodded before placing her hand on the tree and channeling a small bit of chakra. She watched as her ice blue chakra slithered down to the ground before exploding into a ripple, the ripple expanding outward and highlighting all the objects it encountered. The ripple highlighted three of her classmates who were a little over a kilometer away. 'Found three of them.' Hinata informed.
Minato nodded before growing to the size of a small pony. 'Go to them, I'll make sure the enemy doesn't get to you.' Hinata's eyes widened. "No, I'm not leaving you." She whispered out loud.
'I'll catch up,' Minato grinned before jumping out of their cover. Hinata gulped before throwing her three-pronged kunai to a tree a few ways from her classmates. Right after, she flashed towards it and landed behind her classmates. She removed the kunai from the tree and whispered, "Shikamaru-san, Shino-kun, Ino-san."
Ino jumped while Shikamaru and Shino turned towards Hinata with the latter nodding in greeting. Hinata beckoned them over while crouching behind the tree, placing her first friend's kunai in her pouch. When they were by her side, she asked, "Are you all alright?"
Shino answered for them all, "Hai, and you?"
Hinata smiled, and her smile grew when Minato appeared behind her, nuzzling her shoulder. 'I'm alright, Hinata-chan but I know who you're enemy is.' His voice calmly echoed in her mind. She refrained from looking at him curiously as she asked whilst stroking his head softly, 'Who is it?'
'It's Asuma Sarutobi.' He answered, 'He's Sarutobi-senpai's son.'
"We were hit by a genjutsu but we managed to get out in time." Shino added.
"Genjutsu?" Hinata asked with Shikamaru sighing. "Yeah, it was troublesome. Some lady with black hair was the caster."
Hinata's eyes widened, "You were attacked by Kurenai-san."
"I've heard that name before," Ino piped in, "My dad mentioned her when my mom asked about how his day went. He said that she was the best genjutsu caster in Konohagakure."
They were all silent until Shikamaru loudly sighed, "Troublesome. Let's go find the others."
Not long after he said that, a blur of orange and navy zoomed towards them. The blurs landed to reveal an irritated Sasuke holding a pouting Naruto by the collar. "Sasuke-san, Naruto-kun." Hinata sighed in relief. Sasuke nodded at her in greeting while Naruto blinked at her before grinning, "Hey, Hinata!" The Uchiha rolled his eyes as he dropped the blonde carelessly, kneeling down behind Hinata so the blonde girl wouldn't reach him-.
"Sasuke-kun!" Ino squealed and jumped over Hinata with her arms outstretched toward him. Sasuke grunted and immediately substituted with Naruto who was grumbling to himself. Hinata began giggling when Ino shrieked and flew off of Naruto like a cat dropped in water. Sasuke returned to her side as Hinata asked him, "H-have you seen Kiba-kun, Chouji-san, and Sakura-san?"
The Uchiha shook his head in the negative. "No."
Suddenly, a shrill voice screamed, "SASUKE-KUN!"
The seven-including Minato-looked towards the sound, a heavy silence lingering above them. Shikamaru sighed, "Looks like we found one of them."
