Jack

She sits at my table, looking beautiful as always. Leaning down placing my lips near her ear, as she stills, I say in a low voice, "You really came, Cara."

"Of course, I would. Why wouldn't I?" She looks up at me with a puzzled expression and I have to fight back a smile. Because you could never like me. You probably pity me.

"No reason." I say. Sam walks behind Cara to my direction, eyes wide. He's ever looked more surprised in his life.

"You got her to sit with you!" He mouths. I'm gonna strangle him if Cara saw that. I run my fingers through my hair looking down as a small smile forms on my lips.

"Oh my God! He's smiling!" Sam says genuinely stunned. Cara looks confused as a small giggle escapes from that pretty little mouth of hers.

I can't fight back the smile after seeing Cara that way. I can't ever control my smile around her.

"I'm confused, why are you so flabbergasted that he's smiling?" Cara asks Sam. He smirks at me and I roll my eyes.

"Okay here's the thing about Jack. He doesn't smile, ever, well up until you." He's done.

"What?" She tilts her head to the side adorably. How can someone be so cute. She's the most adorable person I know.

"Never mind. But this dude right here doesn't smile under any circumstance. The reason...still remains a mystery to this day."

"Hmm, I wonder why...Jack?" She looks to me question in her eyes. God help me. I nod for her to speak.

"Why don't you smile?" She asks and looks at me. I think my heart actually stopped. Only a few people can make me smile.

"I've smiled." I say quietly. I keep my eyes off of her and Sam. Knowing Sam he probably has the stupid smirk.

"Only around— never mind." Sam says cutting him self off. That's what I thought you idiot.

"Sam says you've only smiled up until me. Why is that?" She says. Because in love with you.

"You're just a person that makes me smile easily." I nod and glance up at her.

"Oh okay." She says biting back a smile. I want to kiss her.

"What?" I ask leaving my attention on her and only her. My gaze is locked on her.

She shifts nervously in her seat. "What?"

"Why are you trying so hard not to smile?" I grin, I can't help it this time.

"It's just...heart warming to hear that I'm able to make you smile. Being that apparently you don't smile much. Especially when you have an adorable smile." She mumbles that last part, almost to the point where almost couldn't hear her.

She looks down biting the side of her lip and fiddling with her hands. I hesitate but proceed to place a finger under her chin to make her look at me.

"You think I have an adorable smile?" I ask seriously. I let my gaze wander over her captivating face, lingering on her lips for just a second longer. The same lips I've longed to kiss. She nods and looks away.

I leave it at that, not pushing any further.
If she doesn't want to talk, I won't make her.
As lunch comes close to finishing, Cara reaches into her back pulling out a lip gloss. I follow her every movement.

I watch as her plump, light pink lips gently part. She delicately spreads the gloss over her lips, coming to an abrupt stop as small smile forms on her lips. I bring my gaze to meet her eyes, a blush forming on her cheeks. She noticed me looking at her. I look like a creep!

I look away, she lets out a small laugh. I then glance toward Sam who's dying of laughter. "What's your problem?"

"You...were looking at her...the way I look at food." He says through laughter. I've never wanted to smack him more.

"How do you look at food?" Cara asks Sam as she looks at him. He already has that dang smirk that I hate.

Full of amore and desire.

"You don't want to know." He tells her. She laughs. I need to hear it again. That laugh was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard in my life. I would do anything to hear it again.

"You should sit with us more often, things are more advantageous." They are, I'm happier, I smile more.

And she did, she's sat with us for the past three weeks. These weeks have been the most wonderful of my life.

I sit on the edge of the bed in James room. He's 6 and loves The Flash. I ruffle his light brown hair and he swats my hand away. "How was school, buddy?"

"Great! Today we got to draw and color! Look I drew The Flash symbol! I made it for you." He says excitedly.

"Thanks bud, it looks amazing." He wraps his small arms around me in a tight hug.

"I have a question." He asks quietly. I look at him and see the shy smile on his face. I pull him in for a hug.

"Can you teach me how to take pictures like you? I want to be just like you when I grow up." Oh. Why would he want to be like me?

"Of course buddy, anything for you." I say knocking those thoughts away, focusing only on James.

"Thank you! Is Sam coming over later?" I nod. He jumps up and down on the bed. He loves Sam. James is always laughing when Sam is here. I love seeing my little brother so happy. He needs it.

"Can we watch The Flash?" I nod and bring him to sit back down beside me so he doesn't end up falling off.

"Êtes-vous amoureux, Jack?" James asks me in French.

"Je pense que je suis en train de tomber amoureux, oui." He gapes at me, a big smile forming on his cute little face.

"Wow! Who is it?"

"Her name is Cara Love. You don't know her but she used to be my best friend when we were kids."

"Can I meet her? Is she pretty?"

"I don't know if you can meet her, yet buddy. But yes, she is very pretty."

"Does she like The Flash?" He asks ecstatically.

"I don't bud I haven't asked her."

"Can you? If she does then I already know I will like her!"

"I hope you will. I mean, I think you will, though."

"What does she like to do?"

"There's not much I know. I know she's a reader and she's in journalism."

"That so cool! I like that stuff!" He giggles.

"I know you do. It still blows my mind how you're only 6 and you like journalism. The reading is expected."

"I bet she's real pretty and you have a big crush on her." He says jumping on the bed still.

"You better be quiet before I tickle you." I say and he places his hands over his mouth with a cute little grin.

I love this little guy it's almost unbearable.
