"She is chosen by the gods, she is the one to be betrothed to the Prince."
Ma held my hand as she realised that I was shaking from what we both just heard.
Ma woke me up early in the morning and told me that I had to get dressed as we were flying to KZN for my wedding.
Did it sit well with me? No, of course not. I just can't belive that I am getting married this weekend. Couldn't they atleast given me more time to adjust to this bullshit?
Palesa: Don't worry chommie, everything is gonna be fine.
I asked Palesa to come with because one, I don't want to deal with this nonsense alone and two, she's my bestie, she can't miss my wedding for the world.
Bulelwa: (To Khethiwe)Palesa is right, everything is gonna be fine.
Me: Easy for you to say.
I looked out the window as we drove into this huge yard.
Sibandi: We're here.
Sibandi rode with us while my parents rode with the Queen and Zenzile. My brothers rode with Qhawe and Ayanda.
Palesa: Woah, this is huge.
We drove by a couple of double storeys and huts.

Bulelwa: Who lives in these houses?
Sibandi: The Elders that are part of council.
Me: Why do they live in the same yard that the Royals live in?
Sibandi: To avoid tardiness and absence. We also had to do that because we had to give them some respect as well.
Palesa: So do you also live here, since you're the royal healer?
Sibandi: (smiles) Yes.
She pointed at her double storey house, which had three huts on the side of it and a normal house on the other side, a garage and of course, a range rover parked outside.
Sibandi: That's mine.
Me: Nice.
Palesa: I love the fact that they are far apart and they all have different designs.
Sibandi: I love that too.
We drove further into the huge yard. We drove past a huge shaded area that had a throne, a long table and chairs surrounding the table.
Sibandi: That's where meetings with the board happens.
Palesa: Oh wow.
Sibandi: It's guarded all day by our guards to avoid theft.
Me: Okay.
We drove further into the yard and we drove past and open area. I guess this might be where we separate the palace from the board leaders.
