CatNap POV:

I locked my car and put my keys in my pocket. After that, I went up to the front door and put my hand on it. As soon as I touched it, I heard rustling behind me. I turned around and saw a face that I thought I'd never see again. "You came all this way to find me?" I asked him.

...

DogDay POV:

I woke up to see CatNap right next to me, his arms wrapped around my chest and clenching his fingers softly. I smiled and kissed his forehead. He slowly opened his eyes and smiled too.

"Morning baby." He said to me. "Good morning." I smelled something, "You smell funny." "Last night, I went to my house and repaired my car, I didn't shower and just went to bed because it was like, six in the morning." Ahh, that explains it.

"It's... 8:30 am, you barely got any rest." I said to him. CatNap stretched, then relaxed his muscles. "It was worth it. Oh yeah, one of my old friends are here." CatNap said, letting go of me and sitting upright. "From your old town?" "Yep, he's also the one who bought my car, and he's also my first friend. Back in my old town, he was also my only friend until I met you guys." "Well, where is he?" "On the floor next to the bed, he didn't want to be rude and sleep on the bed with us."

I looked over and down from my side of the bed and saw someone sleeping on the floor with a blanket covering all of him except his head. The fur on their head was purple and orange, their tail was right next to him and he was hugging it like it was a pillow.

CatNap then crawled off the bed and crouched down next to him. "Wake up Sergi, it's morning." CatNap whispered into his ear. The sleeping individual opened his eyes slowly, then yawned while he stretched his arms up. After that, he sat up and slouched while staring at his feet. Suddenly, he sat upright and his eyes opened like he just got fully energized.

"Morning Nappy!" He said with a smile. "Morning Sergi. DogDay, this is Sergio. Sergio, this is DogDay." Sergio then came up to me and stuck his hand out for a handshake, "Hi DogDay, it's a pleasure to meet you!" I took his hand in mine and shook it. "Sergio is pretty energetic." "I can tell."

"Since DogDay is awake, you can tell us why you came here." CatNap said to Sergio. "Oh, right." Sergio said, then his smile turned into a small frown of sadness. Sergio sits at the foot of the bed, CatNap sits in spot just next to me while I sit upright with my legs crossed.

Now that Sergio is sitting at the foot of the bed, I can finally get a better look at him. He wore a baggy, light gray t-shirt with some black shorts. His right arm was purple, his left was also purple, but his left hand was orange. His tail was also orange, but it turned more purple the closer you got to the base at his waist. His left foot and lower leg were purple, but it turned orange at the knee up. His right foot and lower leg were orange, but was purple the knee up. Through the neck part of his shirt, I could see that his neck and chest were orange. Just a bunch of purple and orange fur.

"So, I came here because my family kicked me out of my house. Hey CatNap, remember my older sister?" Sergio asked CatNap. "Oh, that bitchy piece of shit that would never keep her mouth shut? Yeah, you used to always tell me about her." CatNap replied. "Yeah. Just across the street, she saw me and my boyfriend kiss each other. She ran inside and told my father about it, so he went up to the top floor and shot him from the window with his rifle. He killed my boyfriend right in front of my eyes."

Everything froze. Sergio's boyfriend was shot and killed right in front of him. My anxiety started rising and my breathing started getting funny. I got a little closer to CatNap and got behind him, then wrapped my hands around his chest and rested my head on his shoulder. Doing that made my anxiety go away a bit. I just needed some comfort right now.

CatNap POV:

That piece of shit. If I still lived in my old town, I would've got my handgun and start popping some heads full of lead. I noticed that Sergio was fighting back tears, "Continue, I can see that you need to get this weight off of your shoulders." I said to Sergio, so he continued.

"We had just about our whole future planned out. We knew what careers we wanted, how many children we'd adopt, what to do after we retired. But no, all of that was taken away by my father. So, out of anger, I ran inside and into the kitchen. I opened the drawer with all the forks and spoons and knives, and I got the biggest steak-knife I could find. I went upstairs to where my father was and I slit his neck, it was an easy kill. I then fully realized what I've done, I just killed my father, and I now have his blood on my hands. But I didn't really care, he killed the love of my life. My mother then entered the room and saw his dead body with me holding the knife. Obviously, she went up to me and started shouting at me as loud as she could. Everything was so overwhelming and moving too fast, I couldn't take it, so I tackled her and stabbed the knife into her stomach. I pushed it as far as the blade would let it and left it there. Out of everyone in my family, I loved my mother the most, so I didn't kill her. After all that, I ran into my bedroom and threw all the stuff I wanted and needed into my school bag and left."

God damn, he went through hell. I actually have no words for this, well, I don't blame him. If someone killed DogDay I would cause mass-murder in this town.

Me and DogDay both hugged Sergio because he was crying a lot. I can imagine the pain he must be feeling right now, so I don't blame him. After some time, maybe five or seven minutes, we let go of him and he wiped the tears off of his face.

"How long ago did this happen?" I asked him. "The Summer after sophomore year." "It took you half a year to find me?" "I mean, you did write down the exact town you were moving to, and you know I get tired easily, also the fact that it was in a different state. I had to take so many transportation buses." "How did you get the money to even do that?" "I took my father's wallet after I killed him."

"Oh. Well, DogDay's family is nice, wealthy, and your new family, so you don't gotta worry about a thing." Sergio started to tear up again, but this time, it was out of joy. "Thank you so much." He said with a big smile. He then hugged me and DogDay, so we returned the favor, and hugged him back.
