DogDay POV:

The halls were dim, blood on the walls and floor, the alarms were blaring loudly. I was almost to the exit, I can make it! Suddenly, my head went cold and I collapsed on the floor.

I woke up, almost screaming. I checked myself and I was okay, it was just another bad memory. I looked at my alarm clock and smacked the shit out of it until I hit the big button that made it go quiet. I got dressed, still wearing CatNap's hoodie, and I got my keys and went downstairs.

I heard a plittering and plattering outside, I felt something familiar that I haven't felt in a while. Suddenly, there was a loud boom. I stumbled backwards and landed on the steps of the stairs behind me. I fucking hate storms. "This might be a good day today DogDay." I thought, feeling a little bit of anxiety.

I ran outside and to my car in the driveway, feeling and hearing the muffled plittering of the rain on my hoodie's hood and around me, my shoes splashing in puddles. I looked over to a streetlight and saw the rain fall in the light, beyond the light was darkness of the early morning. I got in my car the quickest I've ever gotten in it before and slammed the door. I tossed my school bag into the passenger seat and sat for a minute and started calming myself down.

Suddenly and unexpectedly, there was another loud boom. I jumped and made a yelp sound. "I fucking hate storms." I said quietly in fear. I turned on my car and drove to school. On the way there, I admired the rain hitting my windshield and the bright lights being distorted by the water. It was a peaceful drive, but only when there weren't loud sounds like thunder or someone blearing their car horn at me when I wasn't doing anything wrong.

I eventually made it to the school's parking lot, but I was the only one there. I was confused. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked at the time. It was 5:43 in the fucking morning, but I could've sworn that five was a six. I made my head go limp and made my forehead hit the steering wheel. "I'm such a fucking idiot." I moaned quietly in disappointment.

I looked off in the distance and saw CatNap by the school's front doors. He was sitting under the portico so he couldn't get drenched in the rain. I moved my car to a closer parking spot near the entrance, turned off my car, got my school bag, and ran to the doors. Then there was an incredibly loud boom of thunder, it made me trip and fall onto the concrete curb. Without thinking, I shouted, "CATNAP!!"

I saw him perk his head up quickly and look at me before running over to aid me. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the portico so I wouldn't get drenched by the rain. "DogDay, are you alright?" CatNap asked me, a worried expression on his face. "I think so, I fucking hate storms." I responded, crawling over to him and laid my back against the doors just like he was. I rested my head on his shoulder, he flinched and clenched his whole body for a few seconds, then relaxed and let loose.

"Are you okay? If you want I can rest my head on the wall instead." "No, no, you're okay. I was just startled, that's all." I could easily tell the smile on CatNap's face was being forced and was fake, I could also easily tell that something was wrong. "CatNap, what's wrong?" "I-It's nothing, I'm fine." "CatNap, are you lying to me?" I saw him avoid eye contact with me, looking off in the distance. Now there was no doubt something was wrong.

"Do you want a hug?" He shook his head no. "Please, it will make you feel better. I promise." He immediately turned over to me and latched onto me, I hugged back. I felt his claws poking my fur through my clothes, he must really need this. "Is it helping?" I could feel him nod yes.

After what felt like a few minutes, he let go. "Better?" He nodded yes. I looked at the sleeves of his hoodie and saw a red tint to it, as if he was bleeding or something. "CatNap, you'll probably get defensive if I ask you this, but I NEED to know what's up. I'm going to need you to take your hoodie off." I saw him look terrified, but he agreed. He pulled his arms into his hoodie, grabbed the bottom of it, and pulled it over his head. He tossed the hoodie next to him and looked back at me. I was horrified.
