When The Dark Meets the Light

Chapter 8

DogDay:

I put my phone on speaker and started getting dressed as fast as I possibly could.

DD: "Did he wake up just now or was it a little bit ago?"

BubPhant: "It was about a minute ago. Are you going to come here now or la-"

DD: "Oh, I'm coming now bitch. I'll be there quicker than your dad leaving to get milk."

BubPhant: "Oh you daddy fu-"

I hung up, got CatNap's hoodie on, and sprinted to my car. I remember the directions to the hospital, so I sped there 13 miles over the speed limit and got there in 16 minutes. I checked in as a visitor and ran upstairs and didn't stop until I saw '800-850' on the information sign. I dashed to room 845 and opened the door.

CatNap:

I was chilling in the darkness, there was nothing else I could do. "I'm so fucking boooooored." I thought. After what felt like years, I saw a line of blinding white illumination. I held up my heavy arm and blocked it. "Off, turn it off." I asked raspily. I saw the individual to my left hastily get up and turned the light off. "CatNap, you're okay!!" I heard Hoppy's voice say. I looked around the room to see Bubba, Hoppy, and Kickin'.

"Where's Jordan, where's DogDay?" I asked them, then looked a little confused. "Who's Jordan?" Hoppy asked me. "Right, they don't know who Jordan is." I thought, then said, "Forget Jordan, where's DogDay?" "Do you want me to call him and let him know that you're awake?" Bubba requested, which I replied with a soft nod.

I was asking the others some questions about what happened while I was unconscious, then heard the door open. "CatNap, are you alright?!" DogDay asked me, his voice shaky and panicky. "I'm okay puppy, c'mere." DogDay came over to my bed and looked down at me. I grabbed the strings on his hoodie, pulled him down, then kissed him. After 10 seconds, I let go. DogDay got up and started to head for the door. "I'm gonna ask a doctor when you'll be able to go home." He said, then was out of sight.

A few days have passed and being in a hospital bed for who knows how long was boring as fuck. DogDay finally came over to the hospital and checked me out. "Are you sure you wanna leave me at my house?" I asked DogDay, starting to feel anxiety build up within me. "I'm sorry CatNap, but my family needs me and you can't stay with me forever. Also, I'm pretty sure that the more you're away from your family, the more angry they would be." DogDay responded, a worried look was on his face. "Alright then." I felt my anxiety turn into fear.

Before I knew it, I was in front of my house. "Bye kitty, see you at school tomorrow!" DogDay said, then kissed me before I got out of his car. He waved bye, I did too, then he drove back home. I smiled, seeing him smile warms my corrupted heart; corrupted by my abusive family, bullies, Jordan's gang, rapists, all the terrible things in life basically. I walked to the front door and opened it to see my slut of a mom, my shitty dad, my brother's cum slut bitch, and my brother who should've died in a hole many years ago.

"The fuck do y'all want?" I said, already feeling my heart go cold and lose the warmth DogDay gave it. "I told them about kitty witty dating puppy wuppy, gay fag." Jordan said with a mischievous smile, but in reality, he has a charisma rate of zero, possibly less. Like how one time, he went up to a girl freshman year and he-

"Let's fuck him up baby." Jordan's girlfriend said, then grabbed something off of a nearby coffee table and smacked it against my head, then I heard glass break. Looks like she grabbed a vase off of the table and smacked my head with it. I tried to get up, but my dad came over to me and slammed his foot down on my head before picking me up and slamming it onto the table until I blacked out.
