Molly's P.O.V.

Birds were chirping outside of my window, and I was still nestled in my bed. It was the weekend, and I had no desire to leave the comfort of my covers. Grasping the pillow beside me, I covered my face with the pillow to avoid sunlight streaming through the window, determined to wake me up.

I wiggled in bed, though I couldn't sleep even so. It was my laziness that stuck me to my bed. It may be my blanket who didn't want me to wake up. It put all the world's burden on me. Why? Why it's so heavy? I opened my one eye slightly; I saw a bunch of blankets on me. Why? Why? Why did a mountain of blankets fall on top of me? I pondered as I summoned my strength to move that mountain of blankets away from me. I put my energy and, and I finally did it, I did it.

I managed to cast aside the blanket mountain and finally free from that mess. My all drowsiness had gone. The main point remained: how did I sleep beneath this bundle of blankets? I couldn't remember anything. I sat quietly on my bed and scratched my head, trying to unravel what exactly happened yesterday. I couldn't recall anything. When I turned my head while thinking, I noticed a packet of medicine. I leaned down and took the packet in my hand. My memory was hazy, but I vaguely recalled encountering a man on the stairs when I returned from college. He had given me medicine and told me that I was shaking, but then I didn't know what had exactly happened after that. It's elusive. Anyway, I'm fine now. Thanks to that mountain of blankets and medicine. I folded the blankets without any complaints in gratitude. It took me about 10 minutes to fold those blankets and stow them away in the cupboard. I didn't know how. If I had a fever, how did I manage to take out so many blankets myself? Now, after so much unexpected hard work, I found myself breaking out in a sweat profusely. My workout was done today due to blankets. With a sense of accomplishment, I decided it was time for a refreshing shower. So let's go to take a bath. Just as I was going to take a bath, my mobile began to ring. It was a call from a person whom I saw first when I opened my eyes first time. My only world. Without hesitation, I answered the call.

"Morning, Mom," I answered with a grin.

"You did not brush yet, your hair is still tangled. How can such a girl of mine shine everywhere? Because of that, you don't have a boyfriend yet," she teased me in a calm tone.

"How do you know? Did you install any CCTV cameras here?" I widen my eyes while watching here and there to scan the room.

"No. I don't need any of them. I know you very well. It's the weekend so you don't wake up early, and you claim it's your right." She said with a little of laughing.

"B-but how could you say that?" I protested.

"Say what?"

"I am capable of having a boyfriend. I didn't have a boyfriend because I don't want." I retorted as rolled my eyes.

"Fine. At least clean the house, don't make it like you. I bet your kitchen will have expired food. Cleaning home makes your every thought clean and helps you to get answers to some questions that you may not understand." She advised with a caring voice.

I could feel her voice was a little bit different. It seemed something weird.

"Mom, are you okay?" I asked, holding my mobile tightly.

"What are you saying, honey? Here the weather is cold, therefore, I got a little bit of cough, nothing else. Two days ago I sent you money, so use it to buy something good for you. I have to head to work now. Bye," she said, her tone shaded with concern.

"Bye," I replied.

Had she changed the topic or just I felt that it was my imagination as always, so let's do the work. Today's work was making the home clean.
