"Dad" Reyansh says as he enters the ward and Vijay's eyes moves on him from Sarika who is already sitting on other side of him. Vijay doesn't speak, although his eyes followed Reyansh as he moves closer to his bed and perches on the stool beside him
"How are you" Reyansh tries to keep his voice audible "I know you must be mad at me" He adds reluctantly, getting no response from him and lowers his gaze "I'm sorry Dad" He says but Vijay keeps his face neutral as he stays quiet and his silence only bothers him
"Vijay" Sarika places her hand on his when he doesn't respond "Ab zid chor dijiye na, see he's sorry for his mistakes, he has changed" She adds trying to convince him and he finally moves his eyes and shakes his head slowly "I'm not mad at you, Reyansh" He says and looks at him "I just have nothing to say, Anaya was right, I was equally responsible for everything" He concedes with a remorseful expression and Reyansh looks surprised
"But i'm ashamed of my behaviour" Reyansh says "I broke your trust" He looks with guilty eyes
Vijay's lips curves very slightly seeing him as he beckons him to come closer and as Reyansh confusingly scoots near him Vijay takes his hand and pat it gently "No one is perfect. Sometimes adults make mistakes and children make them realise it" He says calmly and a small smile make its way to Reyansh's and Sarika's lips as they glances at each other
"I wish Anaya would be here too because she suffered the most because of my one wrong decision and i owe her an apology" He says with a sigh of despair thats when the room door opened and Anaya enters in saying "You don't have to apologise to me for anything" She walks in further taking Vijay off guard at her sudden arrival
"Anaya beta tum yahan" He says quite surprisingly
"She was here from yesterday" Reyansh informs as he gets up from the stool and gives his seat to Anaya
"You and my father had taken this decision together but as i know people learn from their mistakes so I think now you both have realised that never force someone for anything because it'll only have a drastic end thats why i have decided not to drag it further" Anaya articulates
"Your heart is big enough to say this Anaya, but i'll always be guilty that my one decision has changed your life, i wish i'd put you in my daughter's place before taking this decision then maybe things would be different, please forgive me if you could" He expresses his apology and Anaya just sighs
"I'm trying to forget the past, please you all do the same for me cause if i stuck on the same page i'd never be able to move forward in my life" She replies as she looks aside at Reyansh who's gaze never left her face since she entered here and a look of appreciation and gratitude reflecting on his face
"I agree with you Anaya" Sarika says smiling at her "Let's forget the past and focus on the future and this time if my son did anything wrong i promise you i will disown him and adopt you as my daughter" She says glaring at Reyansh's side before meeting Anaya's gaze and both ladies burst into fits of laughter
Even in their laughter the atmosphere seems heavy for Reyansh the weight on his heart is still the same
"I promise i will not disappoint you this time" He says looking at three of them before connecting his gaze with Anaya "Especially you, Ana" He adds in his most gentle tone and their gazes stays fixed on each other until a doctor enters the room
