His embraces were the ultimate best.He held her tightly, still, for what felt like forever.
He tried his hardest to imprint her scent unto him and her softness.
She smelled amazing.
She looked amazing.
And for a good second, to Heru...everything was perfect.
"I don't deserve you at all," Irie said softly.
"Yes you do. We deserve each other. And we love each other. We just can't make the same mistakes again. Ever," Heru said, reluctantly pulling himself away from her, in an effort to divert her attention to the other reason he'd brought her back.
"I got you some things," he said, as Irie looked back at the couch.
A large bag with a shoe box clearly inside, two bags from Tiffany's, and a large bag from Marni, made her shake her head slowly.
"Why?" She asked, looking over at him.
"It's shit you like. Shit I wanted to do for you...and also a fucked up ass way to apologize."
Heru was honest and Irie appreciated the honesty.
"Okay...." Irie laughed lowly before making her way to the couch and examining the gifts.
Going for the box first, she couldn't contain her smile at the light blue and white colored Prada Cup sneakers.
Obsessed with the shoe brand, Irie had just about every pair, but everytime a new one came out, she was on it. Since deciding to purchase things on her own though, it sometimes took a while to stack up, but that's what she loved about earning her own money. She didn't want to depend on her mother for everything anymore.
"What?" Irie beamed at the diamond tennis bracelet and earrings next, eyeing them intently, as the diamonds glistened in her hand.
"These are really beautiful Heru. Thank you."
She looked over at him, as he licked his his lips before smiling faintly.
"You welcome. Now look atcha bag."
Irie wasted no time. Delicately placing the jewelery back into its box, she went for the bag next. It was a big, brown Marni tote.
A bag she'd been wanting for quite some time now.
"This is so beautiful. Oh my God, thank you. Thank you for all this."
Giving him another hug, Heru loved that the mood was somewhat lifted now.
"You welcome...you welcome."
"Now I owe you gifts," Irie said, once pulling back.
"Naw, you straight," Heru glanced down at his fresh, all white Air-Forces.
"Where did you get the money for all this?"
Irie's question slightly surprised him, as he looked back up at her.
"What?" Heru replied, despite hearing her clearly.
"How were you able to afford all this? I mean, not that I'm complaining. Just wondering."
"I been finding other ways to get money. You like the stuff ri?" Heru questioned, his eyes veering over to all the things he purchased now.
