Felix

~~~
Felix rubs the bridge of his nose, he wasn't a damn babysitter. Why was it his job to pick up Adrien after university ended for the day? And why on earth were there so many damn cars on the streets of Paris at this time?
Felix groaned as he drove. He hoped he didn't have to stay in Paris any longer than necessary. It's only been a day and he was sick of the place.
Felix is cunning and calculating, the perfect mix of handsome and mystery enough to draw people in, mainly women. What he struggled with though, was rallying people behind him. He was a brilliant strategist. He knew how to manage and play people like chess pieces, utilizing their unique skill sets to advance his own agenda. But he didn't have that spark that made people want to follow him. He was a leader in his own right but not a figurehead-- hence why he refused to become a politician.
This was why Felix wanted the butterfly miraculous-- Hawkmoth's miraculous.
After his last visit, Felix had managed to convince Nathalie-- Gabriel's personal assistant-- to send over coveted information about many of the miraculous. Gabriel claimed that the information had come from a book. It had been a gift from Adrien's mom, Emilie after they returned from a trip to Tibet... conveniently before she disappeared.
Regardless of its origins, this book gives a basic description of each miraculous power. The butterfly miraculous had the power of transmission, allowing the holder of the miraculous to infuse another person with power and influence them accordingly. Hawkmoth, for example, gave power to villains and 'influenced' innocent people to become villains and do his bidding.
Felix wanted this power. With it, he would be the perfect leader. People would rally behind him... if they had no other choice. He would grow a company easily with his familial influence and go on to make global trade and business deals to help him get ahead using the butterfly miraculous. He'd also make sure his mother, Amelie was always taken care of.
In his mind, Hawkmoth was using the Butterfly's power much too brashly. Using it subtly was the way to bring out its true potential. The first order of business to go about getting the butterfly miraculous, however, was to find out who Hawkmoth is beneath the mask. A mystery Felix intended to solve, no matter how long it took.
Felix's fingers drummed along the steering wheel as he parked outside of the university roughly five minutes early. He was nothing if not punctual. His eyes scanned the big building-- based on the arched windows and embellishments in the stone, he'd say it was built in the 19th-century era in France.
Movement caught his eye as students started leaving the building. Of course, Chloe Bourgeois and her lackey would be the first to leave. It seemed the two young ladies were arguing. Felix rolled his eyes, Chloe was always a bit of a brat. He hated having to spend time with her when they were younger due to her mother being a famous fashion designer and her father being the mayor of Paris. His eyes slid to find Adrien in the crowd when they caught on a little black butterfly--no, an Akuma-- heading straight for Chloe's lackey. Instead of focusing on the Akuma, as most would, his eyes scanned the group of students for Adrien, they should leave before things get messy. Adrien was nowhere to be seen. Only a few had seen the butterfly and began panicking, but one girl caught his eye.
A brunette with long hair in a strange ponytail style and big bangs over her forehead watched the Akuma. There was a hint of a smirk for a moment and in a blink it was gone, replaced with shock. She looked scared, tugging on her friend's arm, but Felix could see right through her. This was an act-- and he had to admit that she wasn't a half-bad actress, for an amateur. The question was now, why would that girl be happy about an Akuma attack? Could she be working with Hawkmoth to akumatize people? It would make sense except that Chloe is the driver of the situation. Is Chloe in on it too? Most likely not, she was too dim-witted to see past her own nose, let alone into future plans. Perhaps this girl was using Chloe like a chess piece, like a pawn to start the catalyst of events to reach checkmate.
Soon the scene broke into chaos, and Chat Noir and Ladybug quickly arrived to deal with the villain. Felix drove off, leaving Adrien a message saying to call him when possible. Felix refused to return to the mansion and get an earful from his uncle about Adrien's safety, not that Gabriel would even show up to talk to Felix face-to-face anyway. So, Felix stopped at a cafe and waited for Adrien's response to his message.
He liked eating by himself, it allowed him to think.
