Chapter 53

When Team Excalibur escorted Klaus back to the team room, they returned back and to see only Masamune, Yu and Madoka standing on their stand. The second match is about to start as only the sub member is remaining.

"What's the deal?" Wales started to speak, which was half-mocking. "The second match is supposed to start."

"If you two Bladers on your team don't step up now then you'll lose automatically." Sophie added, but that wasn't in the rules, but it may take action if time takes too long.

"That's not in the rules, you know!?" Yu yelled angrily.

"Yeah, who cares!?" Masamune started to speak. "We'll do it! Yu and I will accept the challenge!"

"No way!" Madoka interrupted him. "You still haven't recovered from the battle with Klaus and you know it!"

"That doesn't matter! If we want to win, there is no other choice! Even if it is my second battle in a row, it's the only way."

"You're right..." Madoka sighed sadly.

As the light of the hallway became closer, Tsubasa stopped walking, making (Y/N) stop too.

"Tsubasa?" She looked back at him to see the fear in his eyes. He was scared to battle and feel more pain of the Dark Power. "Come on. You can do this. I will be at your side this time. I will be your supp-" (Y/N) was cut off by a gag and a wave of dizziness. "Ugh..."

"N-No." Tsubasa walked to her and held her by the arms to keep his partner balanced. "I'll go with Yu."

"No, no. I will." (Y/N) gave him a serious look into which he nodded in defeat. "Now, let's do this battle together. You and me all the way."

"Right." Tsubasa heard the talking of the team and then spoke slightly louder as they now walked into the light which is the stadium. "We'll go."

"Tsubasa?" They looked at the silver-haired male and then at (Y/N) who seemed slightly dizzy. "(Y/N)?"

"We'll be alright, guys." Tsubasa smiled to them to show them there was nothing to worry about now.

"Are you really sure that you're okay?" Yu asked, worried for his friends.

"Yeah, pretty much." Tsubasa walked down the steps as the little boy received a hug from (Y/N).

"We'll be okay. I promise."

"(Y/N)... You're too injured to fight." Madoka tried to stop the powerful Blader. "Let Yu go with Tsubasa. You might be sick."

"I have to do this for him, Madoka. He needs me and I need to battle more too. I give you my word that everything will be okay. And plus..." (Y/N) bought out a bottle of water and drank it slowly. "(B/N) can hold its own if I am weak, so it won't be defeated easily."

"Okay... Good luck."

"Oh, look at what the Gan Gan Galaxy cat dragged in! It's the mysterious Tsubasa and the destructive (Y/N)!"

Tsubasa and (Y/N) walked to the stadium, both glaring at Sophie and Wales. He then got Eagle ready before even speaking to anybody. He was the only one prepared while (Y/N) looked at the Cetus pair and they looked at her back with some sort of smug smile.

'I will wipe those looks off their faces.' (Y/N) growled to herself quietly and got (B/N), but her head rang and she fell to one knee before even the countdown started. Tsubasa gasped and knelt down to help her up. 'Great... He is going to feel even more pressure with me like this. Why do I get hurt so much...?' The male gave her a worried look as sweat ran down his cheek so she gave him a small hug in which Tsubasa returned, closing his eyes and letting out a shakey sigh.
