Afterdeath one shots

Apocalypse 5

I wake up on a bed. The taste of metal in my mouth. This has been happening for the past few days. I've been randomly blacking out then I wake up on a bed. No one has said anything, so I don't think I've hurt anyone.

"You're awake. Good." I hear Sci say.

I look over. "Hey. What are you doing in here?" I ask they usually sit outside the room.

"I wanted to ask you a few questions. I've been noticing lately that you and Reaper have been wondering off frequently, then Reaper has been carrying you to bed with you already passed out." He says

I listen, confused. "Wondering off?" I ask

"Yes. I've noticed he'd drag you away from the rest of us, to a room, building, wherever, then when you two come out, you're passed out with him carrying you." He says more concerned.

"Look Reaper and I aren't talking at the moment. I wouldn't just wonder off with him for any reason. I don't remember us ever wondering off, or anything like that." I admit.

"I don't think Reaper would do something to someone else, but it's just concerning to me. You've been out for about an hour, before that he dragged you into the closet and you two were in there for a bit before I told him to come out."

I think... I tasted metal. I'm scared, am I losing myself? He doesn't seem mad or scared of me, but I don't know what to do... "how much longer til we're at the lab?" I ask

"Not much longer. We'll stay here tonight walk all day tomorrow and we'll practically be there. It'll have to be scoped out before we can settle though."

I nod. "Ok. I would like to get some rest." I state.

"Of course. Reapers outside the room if you need anything." With that Sci leaves.

I place my hands on my face groaning. I don't know what's going on. I look up as the door opens and Reaper peeks in. "He, are you hungry?" He asks.

"I don't know." I state watching the covers. I then look up meeting his eyes. "Wh... what's been going on? I want to know the truth." I state

Reaper sighs before leaning against the wall thinking about what to say. After a moment of silence he comes over, pulling a chair from the hall, and sits right next to the bed. "Geno, I'm not wanting to scare you. I've been on your side since I took you in." He starts. "For the past few days... you've been... acting.. different." He says it slowly clearly not wanting it to come out wrong.

"If you say feral I'm going to be pissed."

"Geno, I didn't mean it like that. I didn't know how else to describe it at the time. I was in shock and kind of scared. Please just listen. A few nights ago, after you were attacked, you woke up and said you were hungry... you pinned me and bit my neck... I was in shock and scared after everything that happened." He explains

I stare at him wide eyed... 'Ive been attacking others?... I am losing it...' I feel tears well up in my eyes. I don't want to die.. I don't want to hurt others.

Reaper pulls me into a hug when I start shaking, scared. "It's ok. No one else knows. Sci is getting suspicious as to why I keep dragging you off though. Every time one of us gets hurt I have to take you somewhere private so no one will notice. I've gotten used to it. I'm not scared of you" he assures.

'I'm scared of me. I'm scared of what I'm becoming. How long until I completely change and hurt someone... what if I hurt Reaper?' I bury my face in his chest shaking my head. I don't want it to be true. He should be scared. I've done nothing but cause them trouble and note I've hurt Reaper.

"You're very strong for looking so fragile." He comments randomly. "You fight every day and I can tell. You fight to keep going, and now your fighting on behalf of your brother. It takes a lot of strength and courage to do that."
