(Oliver's Pov)

It was dark, I couldn't see much. I could only make out the door handle, I turned the knob. When I opened the door hundreds of memories flooded into my head, The time me and my brother snuck a stray dog in and tried to keep it without mom knowing. I recalled the times when me and Owen would stay up till 4 in the morning playing call of duty zombies, and trying different flavors of energy drinks. I silently shut the door behind me and turned my phone's flashlight on, I pointed it at the desk in the corner of the room. It was the only thing left, it had been almost 2 years since I had been in Owen's bedroom. I opened the drawer as quietly as I could, revealing a small box with a combination lock on it, I didn't need to think hard about what the password was, I put in the date of my father's birthday. My brother had always loved our father, I never really knew him though. He died along time ago, before I was even old enough to walk. I never knew why, but even after his death, it was like Owen was still trying to find him, it was like Owen refused to believe that our father was gone. I gently lifted the box revealing multiple things such as, $200 dollars in casino chips. I seen a used cigarette cartridge, and an empty energy drink. The thing that I was looking for though, sat in the center of a box, labeled "To Ollie".  I Lifted the tattered note and began to read it.

(The note)

To Ollie, from Owen.

Hey, Ollie! How are you, if your reading this I'm not here anymore. Hey, but I am in a better place now so dont stress it. Anyway, sorry we can't chat long, but I need to be honest about some things. Firstly, Our dad was into some bad things, Some really bad things. He was a member of the spades, and They killed him, because he knew too much about the ring leaders of this underground casino, you should have seen the place, it was amazing, it covered the entire heart of diamond city. On another note, I was killed, specifically assassinated... I had dirt on them as well, but it took a lot out of me to get it, they already had nearly killed me on multiple other occasions. They rigged a lot of games against me,  and I lost a lot too, but I had too to get information. I'm sorry Oliver, but I am not the brother you once knew, I never was. I fear that mom hid this from you, as well as Dad's murder. You are going to meet someone named Flores one day, if your going to the same school I did at least, he will mentor you, he made a promise to me that he would. Trust him, with everything you have, and trust me. I will now give you the amount of debt your stuck with. Chances are they wont just end this with killing me, so you need to find a way to pay it off. You owe $15,000,000 to the diamond brotherhood, and you owe $20,000,000 to the Ace syndicate. BUT! do not be hasty, dont rush, I know that you are a smart kid, I know you can make the money, I was able to pay off around half of it. Thats it now, I gotta go far away so you guys dont get hurt. I love ya lil bro...

My heart was pounding through my chest, I looked down to see my hands trembling, the paper had a drop of water land on it. I was trying not to cry, trying not to rip my hair out and scream at the top of my lungs. Everything that had happened the last couple days were because of this. I recalled my encounter with the men from the Ace Syndicate, I remembered they had threatened to kill me and everyone I know if I didn't start paying the debt. They told me that my mom had raised the debt by almost 30 grand. I wanted to kill her, I couldn't take this anymore, I couldn't live this pathetic life of mine anymore, I wanted to curl up and die, I wanted to just stop existing. The very fact that my mother was buying drugs from the most dangerous gang in the city when we already had a massive debt made my blood boil. I dropped to my knees, I sat their for what felt like hours. I started to put the room back how it was, As I finished putting everything back I heard a noise and seen a light turn on in the hallway, I pocketed the chips and shut the drawer, I turned my flashlight off and ran into the closet. I seen my sorry excuse for a mother walk into the room, I was watching her through a small crack in the closet door, she checked the drawer and then hurried back to her room. I quietly left the room and walked into mine. I laid back down as I heard Jack grumble something in his sleep, I did not sleep a wink that night...
