CHAPTER FOUR  WOOJIN'S LITTLE SECRET

Hwang Bora stepped off the school bus, her uniform crisp and neat despite the long day. She adjusted her backpack, the weight of her textbooks a familiar comfort, and started the walk up the long, winding driveway to her home.

The Hwang estate came into view, its grand façade glowing warmly in the late afternoon sun. The perfectly manicured gardens lined the path, and the scent of blooming flowers filled the air.

As she approached the front door, it swung open, and the family's long-time housekeeper greeted her with a warm smile. Bora handed her backpack to her, who would take it up to her room, and made her way to the kitchen.

As she enjoyed her snack, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. Her father, Hwang Dohyun walked in, looking relaxed in his business-casual attire.

"Hey, sweetheart, How was school?" he asked, ruffling her hair affectionately.

"It was alright" Bora replied, not wanting to tell the exact details "How was your day at the office?"

"Busy as always, but we're making great progress on the new project."

Bora nodded "Oh also we have a school trip coming up"

"Oh really?" Her father questioned as he opened the fridge "Well have fun"

"Sure, Dad," Bora said, trying to hide the hint of disappointment in her voice. She knew his work often kept him away, but she still wished he could be more involved.

"I need to go back to work" He kissed her forehead "I'll see you later"

Bora nodded as she saw her father walk away. Bora was used to being alone. Being the daughter of the most valuable company meant that her father was always away, whether in his office or on a trip.

Bora's mother would always stay at home, but she never left her room. She'll ask for the food to be delivered to her room. It was as though she didn't have a daughter and Bora never had a mom.
