CHAPTER SEVEN ✶ THE PRIDE OF JOOSHIN
The late afternoon sun cast a golden hue across Bora's room as she stood in front of her mirror, putting the final touches on her appearance.
Her emerald-green gown hung elegantly, the silky fabric hugging her figure and cascading to the floor in gentle waves. The intricate beadwork on the bodice shimmered with every movement, catching the light beautifully.
Bora's fingers deftly fastened a pair of delicate diamond earrings, the final touch to her ensemble. Her hair, styled in loose waves, framed her face perfectly. She stepped back to take in her reflection, her eyes critically scanning for any imperfections. Satisfied, she picked up a small silver clutch from her vanity.
Just then, her father knocked softly on her door before entering. He was dressed in a tailored black suit, looking every bit the distinguished gentleman.
His eyes softened with pride as he looked at her. "You look stunning, Bora," his voice filled with genuine admiration.
"Thank you, Dad," Bora replied, a small, appreciative smile gracing her lips.
The chauffeur was waiting for them outside, and they were soon seated in the back of a sleek black car, heading towards the event venue. The drive was filled with a comfortable silence, the city lights blurring past as they made their way through the bustling streets.
The venue was a grand, historic building, its elegant architecture illuminated by soft, ambient lighting. As they arrived, Bora stepped out of the car with a composed grace, her father following close behind. The gravel driveway crunched under their feet as they approached the grand entrance, where a valet took their coats and guided them inside.
The interior of the mansion was even more breathtaking. Crystal chandeliers hung from the high ceilings, casting a warm, golden glow over the richly decorated room. The walls were adorned with opulent drapes, and the floor was a polished marble that gleamed under the lights. The air was filled with the soft murmur of conversations and the tinkling of glasses as elegantly dressed guests mingled.
