CHAPTER ELEVEN ✶ LOVE AND HATE
A few days passed since the heated argument at the party. Bora, Woojin, and the rest of their friends went about their daily routines, but there was a noticeable tension in the air. Hera hadn't shown up to school, and she wasn't replying to anyone's messages or calls.
Bora sat in the room where they would always meet, staring at her phone, her mind racing with worry. She had sent countless texts to Hera, but all of them went unanswered.
"Any word from Hera?" Woojin asked, sliding into the seat next to Bora. His face was etched with concern.
Bora shook her head, her eyes still fixed on her phone screen. "Nothing. It's like she's completely disappeared"
Woojin sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Even when she's mad, she doesn't just go off the grid like this."
They sat on the couch in silence for a few moments before Woojin spoke again, his voice hesitant.
"Bora, there's something I've been meaning to ask you," he began, his tone serious.
Bora glanced up at him, noticing the tension in his expression. "What is it, Woojin?"
He paused, choosing his words carefully. "A few days ago, I... I confessed to you, didn't I?"
Bora's heart skipped a beat. She remembered the moment clearly, the weight of his words hanging in the air. "Yes, you did," she admitted softly.
Woojin nodded, his gaze fixed on her. "And I never got an answer. You said you needed time to think."
Bora felt a pang of guilt. She had been so caught up in everything that had happened with Hera that she hadn't given much thought to Woojin's confession.
"I'm sorry, Woojin," she said sincerely. "I... I've always liked you too. I just didn't know how to say it and I didn't think it was the right time"
Woojin looked up, surprise and hope flickering in his eyes. "Really?"
