•Swiss Alps village•
Yoo Jeongyeon, from a humble family in the Swiss Alps village. She was raised with love and care in a cozy chalet nestled among the mountains. Her family was one of the rich family in swiss Alps,Her parents instilled in her the values of kindness, empathy, and hard work, shaping her into the compassionate and genuine person she was. Jeongyeon's family status did not define her worth; instead, it was the love and support she received from her family that nurtured her spirit and allowed her to blossom into the remarkable individual she had become, Jeongyeon, sitting at a rustic wooden table, the sunlight streaming through the window directly onto the paper where she was writing another heartfelt letter to her beloved best friend. The room was filled with the sweet scent of wildflowers carried in by the gentle mountain breeze. Jeongyeon's hand moved gracefully across the paper, pouring out her longing and affection for friend, whom she missed dearly. Despite the distance that seemed to separate them, jeong's love for her friend shone through in every word she penned, hoping that somehow, her letters would reach her bestfriend's heart. Jeongyeon basking in the warm glow of the sunlight as she poured her emotions onto the page, reminiscing about the cherished memories she shared with her friend when she was little.
Jeongyeon felt a wave of sadness as she penned her letter, her eyes welling up with tears."Do you miss me like I miss you?"
she murmured, a sharp ache tugging at her heart. Im Nayeon, her childhood friend who had left for Bavaria Alps in Germany, her homeland, had promised to stay in touch, but 19 years had passed without a single word from her. Jeongyeon was left wondering if her letters ever reached Nayeon, unsure of the silence that lingered between them, Nayeon, the girl who had changed her life forever."I want to be mad at you for how you're treating me now, but I can't. I can't forget all the things you did for me,"
Jeongyeon said, wiping away a tear that escaped.
"Back when I couldn't walk, feeling hopeless in 1901 during my childhood, no one wanted to be my friend until you came along as my best friend!"
She reminisced, a warm smile gracing her face as she thought about those cherished memories...
|FLASHBACK|
•1901•Im Nayeon, a gentle soul with a heart as vast as the Bavarian Alps she calls home, is a beacon of kindness and warmth. Coming from a modest family in the village nestled among the rolling hills, Nayeon's upbringing instilled in her values of loyalty, compassion, and unwavering friendship, Nayeon arrived with her aunt, who worked as a maid at Jeongyeon's house. Excited and eager to help during her month-long holiday, Nayeon had heard much about Jeongyeon and was determined to befriend her. Upon their arrival, they were met by a stern-looking woman in a black dress with a bun and black glasses, exuding an intimidating aura. Nayeon, feeling a sense of fear, quickly mimicked her aunt's bow when the woman approached them. "So, you're here. Let me outline your tasks, and you must be here for an evaluation," the imposing woman stated. "Why?" the young 10-year-old Nayeon questioned with a hint of whine in her voice. "You need to pass a test before becoming friends with our princess Jeongyeon," the woman replied, rolling her eyes dismissively.
" So, what is your name Young lady?"
The lady in black asked, encircling Nayeon.
Nayeon, with a smile, said, "My name is Nayeon, miss. What is yours?"
The lady, becoming angry, replied, "What kind of name is that?" Turning to her aunt, she asked,
"Its her nickname, her real name is Margaret, miss," her aunt explained fearfully.
The lady in black nodded and requested her aunt to leave them alone." Where's Jeongyeon miss, I'd love play with her" Nayeon uttered excitedly.
" Sit down quietly, first I'd like to know if you're suitable for our Jeongyeon or not." The lady said with odd expression.
" Jeongyeon is a very special little girl, she could only associates with suitable children doing suitable activities " the lady explained walking ahead, hands in hands.
But Nayeon, confusingly, uttered,
" What does suitable means?"
The lady sighed frustratingly." Now another important thing is obedience , you'll have to follow the house rules, is that alright with you Margaret?" The lady in black, Miss Anna , asked.
Nayeon standing infront of her answered with a hesitant" yes".
" Margaret, you must say yes Miss!" Miss Anna ordered. Nayeon did as she pleased.
" Now, do you know how to sew, this is important for young lady"
" Yes Miss!" Nayeon uttered, ignoring her gaze.
After a day of testing and somewhat torturing Nayeon, Miss Anna finally approved her. She then went upstairs to meet Jeongyeon.
Jeongyeon was lying comfortably on her bed, her legs tucked under a soft comforter, engrossed in a book. Just then, Nayeon knocked on the door and entered the room. Jeongyeon, filled with excitement, exclaimed, "You're Nayeon, right?" Nayeon, returning the smile, replied, "Yes, nice to meet you," as she stood by her side. The room was bathed in the gentle glow of the moonlight seeping through the window. Nayeon, captivated by the beauty of the full moon, hurried towards the window, urging Jeongyeon to join her. "Come here, see this, it's beautiful," she offered. However, Jeongyeon, with a gesture towards her wheelchair, indicated that she couldn't walk.
Instead of being dismayed, Nayeon's face lit up with understanding. She fetched a mirror and, with care and kindness, showed Jeongyeon the reflected image of the mesmerizing moon. This thoughtful gesture touched Jeongyeon's heart, creating a beautiful moment of connection between the two.
Nayeon sat beside her, taking her hand, said " maybe you can just try to walk, miss Jeongyeon" the glow in Nayeon's eyes touched her heart even more.
" No Nayeon,I can't ,the day my mother died, and doctors can't do anything," Jeongyeon said with a heavy heart, "Miss Anna says my health is flaring up."
"So you never leave your room," said Nayeon with a hint of sadness. "I do, but in a wheelchair," Jeongyeon replied, pointing to the wheelchair nearby. "I'm sorry. The view outside is stunning; I wish you could see it with me," Nayeon expressed, looking into Jeongyeon's eyes. Jeongyeon looked down with a touch of melancholy.
"I'll help you walk again, just trust me," she said with a warm smile. Jeongyeon returned the smile. Nayeon settled into Jeongyeon's comforter and said, "Alright, tell me more about yourself. How old are you?"
Jeongyeon: "I'm 9 years old, and you?" she asked cheerfully.
Nayeon: "I'm a year older than you," Nayeon proudly shared. They spent the night conversing, sharing stories, and strengthening their bond.
|End of flashback|
As a gentle knock echoed through her room, it pulled her back from her memories. A voice followed, "Miss Jeongyeon, your friends are waiting for you in the living room." Jeongyeon wiped away her tears, reached for her camera on the table, and said, "Miss Anna, I'm on my way." She with her friends are in the club where they traveled to various places and cities, capturing unique images that they later sold....
