A victim of Alexithymia,
So much to say, but little spoken.
Felt so much, but silence chosen.
I wish I didn't care the way I do,
Imprisoned by my feelings but bound by our friendship.
Hoped I just admired you from afar,
Now whimpering of the fear of being untrue to the friendship,
I hid my love behind my pageant smile.

You are the distant star so far across the universe,
You may already have moons orbiting you.
You could fall for a thousand kings,
Who could give you a diamond ring.
Who's a joker to the queen of hearts after all?
I'll never be enough for you,
You deserve someone better than me.

You say that you shouldn't trust people a lot,
But trust me, I have tried.
Tried hard to forget about you but I couldn't.
If only I could turn off this light,
I could move on from this place.
Why do I care as much as I do?
