. . . 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥
The first day of school had finally arrived and you were absolutely ready...or at least you thought you were. You would have been if Isagi hadn't paid you a visit last night and started spouting a bunch of nonsense about how badly he missed you. Just the thought alone made you blush but it also made you irritated too. Within the span of 7 hours, you were already starting to get mixed emotions about Isagi. As you walked to school, you gently shook your head and tried your best to stop thinking about Isagi. Instead, you focused on how good you looked. Despite having to wear uniform you were sure that yours would stand out at least a little bit.
Your braids were fairly long and had a slight curl to them as well, you got lots of stares on your way to school but it was only natural due to your darker complexion and hair type. Of course you stood out. It used to make you extremely insecure but you've become accustomed to the stares and whispers. After arriving to school, you made your way to your homeroom and immediately smiled when you saw a few of your friends chatting in the corner of the room, they were looking out of the window in the courtyard. "I'm telling you he changed...Y/N even said so. Look at the way he's kicking that fucking ball! HE'S ON SOMETHING!" Ming exclaimed, Ming has been a friend of yours since middle school, you and her were especially close due to her being pretty foreign to Japan as well. (Ming is Chinese.)
You didn't even have to guess who they were talking about, of course it was Isagi. You approached your friends and they quickly greeted you. They were all pretty excited to see you since they hadn't seen you since the last school year. You pulled your friend BSF aside and gave her an update on your situation with Isagi. "How could he...THAT RAT BASTARD!" Ming said, "He has some nerve, so glad you gave him a slap across his ugly mug." Ming was very country and she wasn't one to care about other peoples opinions very much, to be quite frank she was a fighter. So if nobody wanted to fight about it, she continued to do as she pleased. "I know right..." you said as you looked at Isagi from the window. He was playing soccer before classes with a few other boys. "Just look at him down there...he's really good at soccer. Ever since he came back from that program he's been so different." Ming explained to you, you knew good and well how different he was.
You glanced at Ming for a second before your eyes landed back on Isagi, he was glancing up at the window as he kicked the ball around the courtyard. You could feel your cheeks warming up, even from a distance, you were able to see the need behind his expression. To keep yourself from getting embarrassed, you walked back to your seat and waited for the lesson to begin, chatting with Ming to keep your thoughts off of Isagi helped a lot. The lesson quickly began and you made sure to focus and take notes, this was your final year of school and you wanted to make sure you had straight A's and B's at least. You were so focused on your work that you didn't realize it was lunch time already. Ming pulled her chair up to your desk and offered you your favorite bag of chips.
"I know, I know...I'm a great best friend." she said proudly. You couldn't help but let out a small laugh, "Girl how is a bag of chips supposed to feed me?" you joked...Ming's face darkened a bit and she gave you a disgusted look..."Don't be big Y/N." as she said that your jaw dropped, and you both started laughing. You two were very close so you were both comfortable enough to make jokes like that. Before you could open your chips, the door to your classroom swung open, you and Ming both turned your heads and saw Isagi. He quickly approached your table and stood before you with a hand in the pocket of his uniform. "I bought you lunch." he said simply, keeping his eyes on you. "You can't just approach her like that Isagi! The hell is wrong with you." Ming said as she waved a hand in his face and shooed him away.
Isagi glanced at Ming, a look of loathing fell upon his face as soon as she bothered uttering a word. "Don't think you can speak to me so easily Ming. The only reason I'm not saying anything disrespectful is because of Y/N, so do me a favor and shut that fat ass mouth of yours." Isagi glanced back at you. Your jaw was practically on the floor...you immediately stood up and jumped between him and Ming. You did the right thing, because she was close to putting her hands on him. "WHY DON'T YOU GO TO HELL YOU JERK?! Y/N IS NEVER GONNA TAKE YOU BACK-" Ming shouted, her squeaky voice echoed all the way into the hall. This scene immediately caught peoples eye...and you could tell that they were judging all three of you. "Ming stop it! It's the first day of school and it's too early for this shit..." you whispered to her and pushed her back towards her seat gently. She let out a huff and sat down, turning away from everyone.
Isagi smiled, you grabbed his arm and began dragging him out of the classroom. He had such a smug look on his face, he knew that Ming would act out because of what he said...and he knew that you'd drag him away to help deescalate the situation. You were beginning to connect the dots. You stopped in an empty hallway and turned to him with an agitated look, "Are you happy? You've embarrassed us both! The fuck is your problem?" Isagi couldn't help but grin as you scolded him, just having you near him was enough. "Here." he said as he began digging in his pocket, he pulled out a small wad of cash and your eyes widened. "What the hell is this? Are you into drugs or something now? You damn thug." Isagi couldn't help but laugh at your comment. He grabbed your wrist and placed the money in your hand.
"This isn't a lot of money Y/N, it's just for you to buy yourself something to eat after school. I would take you myself but I already know you won't go with me." you gladly took the cash and stuffed it in the pocket of your uniform, "Damn straight. Don't come bothering me or my friend during our lunch time again." you responded. He frowned a bit but then reached out to grab your waist, you backed away. "Princess please...let me hold you." he muttered, a pang of something remorseful ran through your chest...even though you weren't the one who did anything wrong. "I need you...I need it so bad, you don't even understand. I'll do anything for you." he said as he got closer to you. You felt yourself beginning to freeze up, he didn't hesitate to take this opportunity and wrap his arms around you, just as he did yesterday night.
"Y-...Yoichi..." you mumbled. He tilted your chin up with his finger so he could get a better look at you. Your eyes began to get glossy...he gave you a gentle smile. "I just want my sweet girl back." you wanted nothing more than to hate him. You wanted to feel nothing but an utter dislike for him, but you couldn't. Those feelings that you thought were gone, were still there and they were swelling up within your heart, about to burst at any moment. "You had me...but you left me. How could you do that to me? How can I...I just...I can't trust you." you managed to say between hitched breaths. He furrowed his eyebrows before speaking, "I can't give you anything but my word Y/N. Word is bond.." you began to contemplate. He held you closely to him, his hands softly ran over your hips and he rubbed your lower back gently. "I want you." he mumbled against your ear, his voice was husk.
You started to get overwhelmed and immediately pushed him away. "F--F-Fuck no!" you managed to wiggle out of his grip and walked away from him as quickly as you could. He didn't bother following you because he had already planted the seed that he needed. All he needed you to do was think about him, and part of you already knew what he was up to. Isagi made his way back to class after you were out of his sight and continued the day as if nothing happened. You on the other hand, were so confused with things. You hated his damn guts...yet you couldn't help but love him so much. As you sat in class lost in your thoughts, your phone dinged...an unknown number texted you.
"I'm not done trying princess."
