. . . Game day

Today was a big day for the entire school. The beginning of soccer season. Now your school in particular, was BIG on soccer. Isagi had carried the team for three years now and ever since he'd came back from blue lock, he'd been extremely popular for his knowledge on the field. Over the course of a month, everyone was raving about the first game of the year. The games were always big, and EVERYONE in town attended the matches. You got up early that morning and texted Ming, you two were going to walk to the game together. As much as you didn't want to see Isagi's face, you knew Ming really wanted to go, because her younger brother was also on the team, and you wanted to route for him.

You decided to wear something warm, because it was a bit chillier today. Pants and a long sleeve, and your favorite pair of shoes. Something simple, and of course a jacket to top it all off. As Ming arrived to your place, you were surprised to see her brother at the front gate as well. His eyes lit up when he saw you, his cheeks seemed to be a bit flushed as well...but it was probably just from the cold air. As you approached the two of them, you'd noticed how tall Dishi (Ming's younger brother) had gotten....he towered over you and Ming, despite being younger. "Hi Y/N!" he said with a wide smile. "Ming, why are you being so hard on him?" you looked at Ming as you spoke and shook your head a bit.

Usually, their parents drove them to the soccer games early, but every blue moon...Ming would make Dishi carry all of his equipment to the school as a warmup. "This is what's helping him grow big and strong. Ain't that right brat?" Ming said as she tugged at Dishi's ear. He let out an irritated huff and nodded his head before his gaze landed back on you. His eyes softened as your gaze landed upon his. "You have gotten much taller Dishi! You really had a growth spurt youngin." You said as you ruffled his hair, the three of you began to make your way towards the school. As you all walked, you couldn't help but notice that Dishi couldn't keep his eyes off of you. "I think I'm 6'2 now..." Dishi murmured as he lugged his equipment over his shoulder. The bag looked super heavy.

"What! You're only 15! Keep playing soccer, it's obviously doing you some good!" you smiled kindly as you spoke to him, he looked extremely flattered. It wasn't hard to tell that he was attracted to you...and probably had some sort of feelings for you, but due to him being younger, you decided it'd be best not to indulge in his feelings. Ming pinched Dishi's arm roughly. "ALRIGHT, RUN THE REST OF THE WAY THERE AND IF I CATCH UP TO YOU, THAT'S YOUR ASS!" Ming shouted as loud as she could and Dishi didn't hesitate to run towards the school like she said. He had a lot of respect for his older sister, so he did everything she said...because her advice always helped him in the long run.

After lots of yapping on the way to the game, you wished Dishi luck before he stepped onto the field. There were so many people in the arena that day...there was at least one thousand people there. You and Ming sat closer to the field, the players families always had reserved seats if they wished to have them. As the players were introduced to the field...of course, Isagi came out first. You had been so distracted that you'd forgotten all about him. His eyes scanned the bleachers as if he was looking for someone, you knew he was looking for you. As he stood on the field with his team, he finally found you. His eyes lit up and a smile came across his face. You looked away from him and just focused on Dishi. As Isagi realized who you were looking at, his eyes darkened and bitterness began to corrode his heart.

The game finally began after what had felt like forever. The team that your school was up against was cooked before the match even began. Isagi dominated the field, he didn't give any of his own teammates the opportunity to score. Dishi though, was really looking to impress you...he noticed Isagi's ball hog technique and began to fight him for the ball. "WOAH FOLKS! WOULD YOU LOOK AT THIS...TEAMMATES GOING HEAD TO HEAD?" the announcers shouted. The crowd began to roar as the opponents chased Isagi and Dishi. You were shocked to see such a display. "KICK THAT PANSY'S ASS DISHIIII! SCORE! SCORE! SCORE!" Ming stood up and shouted. You stood to your feet and watched them, your body was so tense. "There's no way...if they keep doing this then the opponent is going to get the ball!"

As you said that, Dishi did something that nobody was expecting. Despite him and Isagi being over half way away from their goal...he kicked the ball as hard as he possibly could. He had no plan, no coordination...and no form. Yet the ball landed into the opponents goal at the very last second of the game. The entire crowd roared and his teammates jumped up and down to congratulate him. "THAT'S RIGHT DISHI! YOUR SISTER DIDN'T RAISE A QUITTER. SUCK IT! SUCK IT!-" As Ming jumped over the railing and ran onto the field to congratulate her brother with a few of the other families. You stood from a distance and smiled, part of you was a little overwhelmed from all the people so you decided to go behind the bleachers where the vending machine was and grab a drink. Let things settle down so you could congratulate Dishi.

As you stood there alone, you listened to everyone above the bleachers jumping up and down with joy...you sat near the vending machine for a few minutes and drank the soda you'd just bought. It was peaceful. "How come you didn't cheer me on?" your head snapped to the side and there he was...Isagi. The serenity and bliss you felt, vanished. Nervousness arose in your core and you were unsure of why. "I didn't come to see you play, I came for Dishi." you responded as you stood up. Isagi approached you and wasted no time putting his hands on you. He was sweating a lot...you tried to yank away from him but he only pressed you up against the machine. As your bodies rested against each other, he looked you in the eyes...his breathing was heavy, and his heart was racing.

"Y/N, what do I have to do to get you to love me?" he sighed as he spoke. You remained silent, and began thinking of the best way to speak to him. You'd already yelled at him, you cried to him...what path were you going to take now? . . .

"Isagi, I still do love you. You were a huge part of my life at one point...but you ended up hurting me and it took me so long to find myself after you'd abandoned me. I think part of why I'm struggling to even look at you now, is because I still have love for you somewhere in my heart. I'm not saying that I'm going to give you a second chance...I'm saying that I need time to process things in my own way. Before you try forcing me back into a relationship with you, maybe try being my friend again first." you spoke so gently to him...there was no hate or animosity behind your tone. You only hoped that he'd understand after this. His eyes widened as you said that and he backed off of you. It was like something finally clicked in the back of his mind. "I apologize Y/N...I truly am sorry, for everything. Please forgive me." Isagi got on his knees and bowed to you. You helped him back up quickly and shook your head.

"There is no need for that...I forgive you. I'm done holding contempt and hatred in my heart for you. I forgive you Isagi." the calmness in your voice almost scared him. He stood to his feet and you gave him a gentle smile. "There it is...that's all I wanted to see....I've missed my sweet girl." Isagi thought to himself. He smiled back at you, and you both sat in each others presence for a while, before you started to walk away. "I better get going now, but please dwell on what I said Isagi. I know how abrasive you can be with me sometimes...consider my feelings before your own." and with that, you were gone. Isagi didn't chase after you, or force you to listen to him. He did as you said. You were beyond relieved that taking the pacifist route with him worked...you had a lot to think about now as well. Where would things go from here?
