You've spent a good few years as Claude's business partner and spy. He paid you generously, as promised, and you finally gathered enough extra money to build a residence closer to both the Alpheus Mansion and the Imperial Palace.
Roger always welcomed you when you visited and stayed the night, but you figured it would be more convenient to build a house of your own nearby. Once Jennette's old enough, you could gift her property!
Obviously, you weren't crazy enough to gift a five year old a house and lot.
"Jennette, do you like jewelry?" you asked the brown haired girl.
The five year old girl was playing with stuffed animals on her bed when you asked her that question. An idea suddenly popped into your head when you looked into Jennette's eyes.
In the comfort of her room, Jennette was free to show her jeweled eyes. Contrary to her father's eyes, hers were always bright. Penelope Judith didn't seem like she was energetic when she was a kid, so you wondered who Jennette took after.
Definitely not Claude.
The child turned to you, and nodded.
Children liked anything that sparkled. Of course she would.
You smiled.
You've been selling all the gems and precious stones found in your mine to merchants, but maybe it was about to time you started a business. A jewelry business!
And you'd name it...
Margarita.
You hummed. It was a flower, and it suited a business you'd start for Jennette's sake.
Or maybe you were just craving for alcohol. Both working for and with Claude de Alger Obelia sucked the energy out of you that only drinking could fill. Of course, in the presence of children in the estate, you've never drank beyond a cup.
Once your own residence was built, you'd make sure to drink as a celebration.
"Auntie? Jennette?" Ijekiel peeked his head through the doors of Jennette's room. When he saw the two of you inside, a soft smile appeared on his face and he moved deeper into the room.
