The following week, as the autumn leaves continued to fall, I found myself settling into the rhythm of college life. Classes were challenging, but I was managing well. My friendships with Jennie and Liam were growing stronger, and since i started dating Liam, Daniel has being keeping his distance from me.
I don't really know why, but i don't think i did something wrong to provoke him or broke our friendship.
One crisp morning, I decided to take a walk through the quad before my first class. The air was cool and fresh, and the campus was bathed in the soft golden light of early autumn. The path was lined with trees, their leaves a vibrant mix of red, orange, and gold, creating a picturesque scene that felt like something out of a storybook.
As I strolled along the path, enjoying the tranquility, I heard someone call my name.
“Natasha!”
I turned to see a tall, handsome guy walking towards me. He had a confident stride and a friendly smile. His dark hair was slightly tousled, and he wore a casual yet stylish outfit that looked effortlessly put together.
“Hey, Natasha!,” he said, coming to a stop in front of me.
“Oh, hey, Daniel!” I replied, a bit surprised. “How are you?”
“I’m good, thanks. Just on my way to class. How about you?” he asked, his eyes bright with interest.
“Same here. Just taking a walk before my first class,” I said, returning his smile.
“Mind if I join you?” he asked, falling into step beside me.
“Not at all,” I said, feeling a bit curious about him. We hadn’t talked much before, but he had always seemed nice.
As we walked, we chatted about our classes, professors, and the usual college stuff. Daniel has always being easy to talk to, and I found myself relaxing in his company. He had a good sense of humor and a way of making even mundane topics interesting.
“I’ve seen you around a lot since you started dating Liam, but we haven’t really had a chance to talk,” Daniel said after a while. “I’m glad we ran into each other today.”
“Me too,” I said. “well i have being busy with my love life, i said laughing.”
"So, how has it being, hope you are happy.
" Well, its being lovely so far, and Liam is really Nice.
"Happy for you dear, Daniel said facing me smiling.
there's something about the way he stair at me but i cant really place my hands on it.
" what have you being up to, i asked avoiding his eyes.
"well, being really busy with my music band, we will be performing very soon, “I’m really into music. I play the guitar and sing a bit,” he said, his eyes lighting up. “I’m part of a band on campus. We play at some of the local bars and events.”
“That’s awesome! I’d love to hear you play sometime,” I said, genuinely impressed.
“You should definitely come to one of our gigs. We’re playing at the campus pub next Friday,” he said. “I’ll save you a seat."
“Count me in,” I said, feeling excited. “I’ll bring some friends along, too.”
“Sounds like a plan,” he said, smiling. “So, what’s been the highlight of your college experience so far?”
