A few days had passed since they've been to the Roadhouse and Odessa was still uneasy about how things ended there. She wasn't sure if Jo or Ellen want to see the Winchesters, and since she's with them, that likely means her too.

To add to her worries, she hadn't been receiving calls from Lucas. The sudden silence from him is troubling, but she tried to push the bad feeling aside and ignore it.

Dean sat at a cafe table, reading a newspaper, while Odessa sat opposite him, flipping through her father's journal and taking notes.

The headline in the newspaper catches Dean's attention: Man's Throat Slit Without A Trace

Sam approaches with three cups of coffee and sets two down, one in front of Odessa and one in front of Dean.

"Thanks," Odessa says with a smile, picking up the coffee and taking a sip.

As Sam takes a seat, Dean hands over the paper. "Anthony Giles," he says, pointing to the headline.

"Who's Anthony Giles?" Sam asks, glancing at the paper.

"He's a Baltimore lawyer. Working late in his office, check it out," Dean explains.

"Uh... throat was slit, room was clean. Huh. No DNA, no prints" Sam reads the article aloud.

"Keep reading, it gets better," Dean prompts.

Odessa places her journal down and shifts her chair closer to Sam, reading over his shoulder. "Security cameras failed to capture footage of the assailant," she reads and raises her eyebroes in interest, intrigued.

"So I'm thinking either somebody tampered with the tapes," Dean suggests.

"Or it's an invisible killer," Sam finishes, his expression thoughtful.

Dean grins. "My favorite kind"

Odessa groans, leaning back in her chair. "We just finished a case yesterday, Dean. Can't we have a day off?"

"Off days are for amateurs" He tells her before turning to his brother. "What do you think, Scully? You wanna check it out?"

Sam chuckles. "I'm not Scully, you're Scully," he retorts.

Dean smirks. "No, I'm Mulder. You're a red-headed woman,"

Odessa looks offended. "I take offense to that," she says and looks at Sam. "No offense, Sammy,"

Sam looks at Odessa, puzzled. "Wait, why did you take offense to that?"

"Because I have way better hair than you" She says, shrugging nonchalantly. "It's not even debatable"
