The road to our new home was a long one. I never would have thought we would be moving somewhere far away from the church, though it is not that far. However the place we are moving to seems far away from the town and in the forest instead.
I stared out the window of the car and then looked at Yui, my twin sister. We may be twins, but we're not alike.
Yui has a young and girly appearance. Wavy platinum blonde hair fell down to her shoulders and her bangs parted in the center. She had a pretty pink flower hair clip pinned on the left side of her head. Her eyes were a glistening sherbet pink color. She was very beautiful.
I, on the other hand, look nothing like her. I have long, sea green hair and golden eyes. Very plain.
Our personalities . . . I'm not like Yui at all. She's way too kind and too soft. She cares about other people and their feelings. I'm emotionless. I only care about myself and Yui. I really don't care about anything. Not really. And unlike Yui, I'm not afraid to tell the cold harsh truth.
"Ikaros . . ." I turned to look at her. "Do you have any idea why father want us to live with these people?"
"No."
"I think father wants us experience things outside of the church," she commented like I would care.
I really don't know why our father send us to live with some strangers. I'm fine with moving. Then I won't have to deal with him saying how much I look like our mother. He told us that our mom died giving birth to us. Her body couldn't handle delivering twins. He's probably trying to get rid of us. We're reminders of her death.
I snap out of my thoughts when my vision spot a building in front of us. Yui rolled down her window and I stuck my head out of mine to see the building we are heading towards to. We were heading to a glorious mansion.
"Father never mentioned we're living a mansion. The Sakamaki family must be rich," Yui said.
Yui shook her head as we both continue to look at our new home. Once we pulled up at the gate, Yui hurried out of the car and grabbed her luggage. I took my time and grabbed mine. We both open the gate walk up to our new home. Indeed it was mansion, a very big one. There's a garden, a fountain . . . and there are two other buildings which I'm wonder which are they for. This place is far from town.
Suddenly I felt a rain drop land on top of my head. Fortunately for me, I was carrying my umbrella with me. I opened it and held over my head.
Yui look up towards the sudden dark sky. "It's raining!" She said which made me scoff. Yui joined me under my umbrella because she doesn't own an umbrella and I wasn't going to offer mine.
"Yui, I know it's going to rain. I'm not blind." She was going to say something back until suddenly lightning and sound of thunder rang above us. Yui flinched and we hurried towards the door. I'm not scared of thunderstorms.
Once we made it to the door. Yui grabbed the handle and hit the door twice. "Hello!" Yui yelled. No one answer back.
"If no one home I'm going to-"
The door opened.
"Leave."
Yui and I both look at each other. We both entered inside the mansion to see no one behind the door. There is no way they could leave the room so fast since the grand hall is huge.
"Excuse me, is anyone home?" Yui asked.
"There has to be since someone opened the door for us," I said, closing my umbrella and pulling my luggage in. Then suddenly the door shut behind us.
