I stare at her for what seems like an hour. I don't know what to say exactly. A simple hi would be alright... if I was social. It's a pain.
Speak or let Ben speak for me? I think that answers itself.
"This is Matthew! The guy I was talking to you about!" Ben spoke for me happily.
What? It's all about survival, people.
Kris looked at Ben and then back at me, her eyes widened as she smiled. I paused. It was cute. Oh no. I'm talking like a lovesick old man again... Where was I? Right, right.
"It's nice to meet you, Matthew. I'm Kris." Kris murmured, her smile widening more. "Uhm.. Ben has told me a lot about you.
I felt a pang of irritation, wondering what Ben had told her. I stayed silent, not knowing what to say to that. Before thinking about what to say, Ben chimed in again.
"You'll get used to him! Even though he doesn't speak a lot, I believe he's a nice guy with tough walls." He spoke kindly of me with a grin. Even I'll admit, I smiled. It was small but noticeable.
Maybe this won't be half as bad as I thought.
