December 19th, 2006. My birthday was near the most "wonderful" day of the year. I braced myself for another dull birthday. I'm not a guy who uses 'hate' to describe anything, but I hate my birthday.
It's not like I hate the date or the season–in fact, I love the season. But over the years, as I grew up into the dull teenager I am, birthdays lost their magic. Puberty hit me like a truck, making me see the insincere smiles and forced greetings. I also learned... Many, many things but I will not go into details.
I laid in my bed, waiting–Hoping, I would be put in a four-day coma. Just to miss my "special" day.
