Khatri Estate
The first light of dawn was just starting to peek through, and the whole mansion had finally quieted down after the long, festive day of the wedding.
Satyam was on his way out while chatting away with Parth, when his phone suddenly rang in his pocket.
He slid it out and checked the screen.
Boss.
He promptly picked up the call, expecting an order, but instead, he was greeted with nothing but sounds of deep groans and heavy breathing.
Satyam stopped dead in his tracks.
Parth who was still talking noticed his sudden stop and paused too, giving Satyam a puzzling look.
Satyam's mind went straight to places best left unmentioned— AKA—the gutter.
His face turned a shade of red with thoughts of what those sounds implied on his boss's wedding night.
He was about to hang up, dismissing it as an accidental call but then he heard it.
"Bedi... I don't feel well..."
Trayaksh's voice, weak and pained came from other side and all of Satyam's previous thoughts disappeared in an instant, replaced by a surge of worry.
Without thinking twice, he turned and ran.
Utterly confused by Satyam's behavior, Parth followed behind, matching his pace as he tried to catch-up. What had happened?
His confusion morphing into concern when he realized they were running to the backyard where a staircase led directly up to Trayaksh's balcony.
They climbed the stairs quickly and reached a large glass window that gave them a clear view inside.
They sucked sharp intakes of breath, eyes widening in shock as they saw a barely conscious Trayaksh on the floor, leaning against the foot of his bed with a hand clutching the left side of his chest, clearly in a lot of pain.
They didn't waste a second more and hurried inside.
They were so focused on Trayaksh that they didn't even think to look for Ananya.
Parth rushed to Trayaksh's side, checked his eyes, and felt his racing pulse. "I-I think, I'm not sure, but I think he might be having a stroke. We need to get him to the hospital right now!" he said, his voice filled with panic.
Satyam was now sweating profusely, "I'll inform Bade Sahab!"
He started towards the bedroom door, intent on informing Vishwaraj, but Parth quickly stopped him. "We don't have time, do it in the car!" he insisted.
"But..." Satyam started to object, only to be interrupted by Trayaksh's faint protest, "No... don't..." Trayaksh was still caught up in his own thoughts, where he was trying to tell Ananya that he wasn't a bad man.
However, Satyam and Parth misunderstood, thinking he was asking them not to tell his family.
They quickly carried him out the sliding doors of the window, where two guards were standing by, having become alert at the sight of Satyam and Parth's hurried actions.
