After six long months on the press tour, Austin was finally coming home. The anticipation of reuniting with his family filled him with excitement and a bit of nervous energy. He couldn’t wait to see Ashley, Jack, and especially little Jacstin.
Before leaving Canada for Los Angeles, Austin called Ashley to finalize their plan for a special homecoming surprise. They decided that Ashley would leave Jacstin at home with Jack while she picked Austin up from the airport. Austin would then sneak into Jacstin’s playroom and hide until Jacstin found him.
The flight seemed to take forever, but finally, Austin’s plane touched down in Los Angeles. He made his way through the airport, his heart pounding with excitement. As he exited the terminal, he saw Ashley waiting for him, her face lighting up with a huge smile.
“Ash!” Austin called out, waving.
Ashley ran to him, wrapping him in a tight hug. “Austin, I’ve missed you so much!”
“I’ve missed you too,” he said, hugging her back. “I can’t wait to see Jacstin.”
They quickly made their way to the car and headed home, chatting excitedly about the surprise. When they arrived, Jack greeted them at the door, a knowing smile on his face.
“He’s in the playroom,” Jack said. “Good luck, Tintin.”
Austin grinned, sneaking through the house and slipping into the playroom. He found a spot behind Jacstin’s favorite big stuffed bear and crouched down, waiting.
Moments later, he heard the pitter-patter of little feet as Jacstin entered the room, humming to himself. Austin held his breath, trying to stay as quiet as possible.
Jacstin began playing with his toys, moving closer to where Austin was hiding. Finally, he spotted a familiar pair of shoes peeking out from behind the bear.
“TINTIN!” Jacstin yelled, his eyes wide with delight.
Austin sprang up from his hiding spot, scooping Jacstin into his arms. “Hey, buddy!” he said, hugging him tightly. “I’ve missed you so much!”
Jacstin giggled, wrapping his tiny arms around Austin’s neck. “Tintin! Tintin home!”
Ashley and Jack stood in the doorway, smiling at the heartwarming reunion. “Welcome home, Austin,” Jack said, clapping him on the back.
The rest of the night was filled with laughter and joy as they spent quality family time together. They ordered pizza, watched Jacstin’s favorite cartoons, and caught up on everything that had happened while Austin was away.
After dinner, Austin handed out the gifts he had brought back with him from his travels. For Ashley, he had a beautiful scarf from Paris. For Jack, a vintage motorcycle model from Japan. And for Jacstin, a plush toy from every country he had visited.
Jacstin’s eyes lit up with wonder as he hugged each new toy. “Thank you, Tintin!” he exclaimed, his happiness infectious.
As the night drew to a close, they all gathered in the living room, Jacstin nestled comfortably in Austin’s lap. They talked about future plans, upcoming holidays, and more adventures they wanted to take together.
Austin looked around at his family, feeling a deep sense of contentment. No matter where his career took him, moments like these reminded him of what truly mattered.
“I’m so glad to be home,” Austin said softly, his eyes meeting Ashley’s.
“We’re glad to have you home,” Ashley replied, her smile warm and loving.
With Jacstin fast asleep in his arms, Austin knew that this was where he belonged. Surrounded by family, love, and the promise of more memories to come.
