Later that day, with the dream still fresh in his mind, Austin couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to do something more to honor Lisa Marie. The dream had felt so real, so profound, that he wanted to create a permanent reminder of her words and the bond they shared.
After breakfast with Ashley, he drove to his favorite tattoo parlor. The artist, a skilled and trusted friend, greeted him warmly.
"Hey Austin, what brings you in today?" the artist asked, sensing the seriousness in Austin's demeanor.
"I had a dream about Lisa Marie last night," Austin began, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "She said something to me that I want to remember forever. I'd like to get a tattoo of her words."
The artist nodded understandingly. "What do you have in mind?"
Austin took a deep breath. "I want the words 'I'll love you forever' tattooed on my left forearm, close to my heart, and near the tattoo I got for my mom."
"That's beautiful," the artist said, already sketching out the design. "Let’s make it special."
As the needle buzzed and the ink was carefully etched into his skin, Austin felt a sense of peace and purpose. The pain was a small price to pay for the meaningful tribute he was creating.
When the tattoo was finished, he looked at it in the mirror. The elegant script of "I'll love you forever" stood out proudly on his forearm, right next to the tattoo for his mom. The two tattoos together formed a powerful testament to the two most important women in his life.
He thanked the artist and headed back home. As he walked through the door, Ashley immediately noticed the new tattoo.
"Austin, did you get another one?" she asked, a mixture of surprise and curiosity in her voice.
"Yeah," Austin replied, rolling up his sleeve to show her. "I wanted to honor Lisa Marie. She said this to me in the dream. It felt right to make it permanent."
Ashley looked at the tattoo, her eyes filling with tears. "It's perfect, Austin. I love it, and I know she would too."
Austin smiled, feeling the warmth of his sister's approval. "Thanks, Ash. It means a lot to me."
They spent the rest of the day together, reflecting on the incredible journey they had been on and the people who had shaped their lives. The tattoos on Austin's arm served as a constant reminder of the love and strength that had guided them through their toughest times.
That evening, as they sat in the living room with Jack and Jacstin, Austin felt a deep sense of fulfillment. He had honored Lisa Marie in a way that felt profoundly personal and meaningful. The words "I'll love you forever" would stay with him, a permanent reminder of the bond that transcended time and space.
As they watched Jacstin play and laughed together as a family, Austin knew that Lisa Marie's spirit was with them, watching over them and smiling. The love they shared would always be a part of their lives, guiding them forward and keeping them connected to the ones they had lost but never forgotten.
