Third POV:
Lilith stood before the headmaster's desk, her heart pounding as he glared at her with a mixture of anger and disappointment. The grand office, filled with dark wood and ancient, towering bookshelves, seemed to close in on her. The headmaster's voice echoed off the walls, sharp and unyielding.
"Do you have any idea what you've done, Lilith?" he bellowed. "Breaking the curfew, sneaking out in the dead of night—it's not only against the rules but dangerous beyond measure!"
Lilith tried to meet his gaze but found her eyes drifting to the floor. "I—I didn't mean to cause trouble," she stammered, her voice barely audible over his reprimands.
The headmaster's face grew even sterner. "It's not just about the rules! We have these curfews for a reason. The dangers that lurk beyond these walls after dark are not to be underestimated. Creatures, dark magic—things that you are not prepared to handle."
The headmaster's eyes bore into Lilith with an intense scrutiny. "Why, Lilith? Why did you possess such a dark and powerful charm? This is not just a matter of breaking rules. The nature of that magic is deeply concerning."
Lilith felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew she had to come out clean. "I—" she began, her voice trembling slightly. "I saw it in a book, and... and I was tempted to try it. It fascinated me. I didn't have any bad intentions. It was purely curiosity and temptation."
The headmaster's gaze didn't waver. "Curiosity and temptation are not excuses for dealing with such dangerous magic. You must understand the gravity of what you were meddling with. This isn't just a harmless experiment."
Lilith nodded, her eyes fixed on the floor. "I understand. I didn't mean to cause any harm. I just... I was curious and didn't think it through."
The headmaster sighed heavily, his shoulders sagging as if the weight of his decision was too much to bear. "I've considered this carefully, Lilith. Given the severity of the situation and the nature of the magic you were involved with, I have no choice but to expel you immediately."
Lilith's eyes widened in shock. "What? No, please, you can't! I understand I made a mistake, but please, I didn't mean any harm. I—"
The headmaster cut her off, his voice firm and resolute. "This decision is final. The rules of the school are clear, and your actions have crossed a line that cannot be ignored. I cannot allow you to remain here with such dangerous magic at your disposal."
Tears stung Lilith's eyes as she struggled to find words. "But I've learned my lesson. Please, give me another chance. I promise I won't do anything like this again."
The headmaster's expression softened with a hint of regret, but his stance remained unwavering. "I'm sorry, Lilith. This is not a decision I've made lightly. You must leave the school immediately. We cannot compromise the safety of others for any reason."
Lilith's breath caught in her throat as the headmaster's words sank in. The weight of the decision bore down on her, filling her with an overwhelming sense of dread. She had always been an exceptional student, deeply passionate about magic. The thought of losing everything she had worked for, simply because she had succumbed to temptation, was unbearable.
What pained her the most wasn't just leaving the school—it was the disappointment she would face when she saw her father. The imagined look of disappointment in his eyes was a crushing thought. She could hardly bear the idea of telling him what had happened, knowing how much pride he took in her accomplishments and how deeply he had invested in her future.
She was also very uncertain about her future. This school was the only one in Transylvania; she had no idea where she would go next. The very thought of starting over in an unfamiliar place, with no clear path forward, was daunting.
