Third POV:

As Lilith and Pansy stepped out of the dress shop, the cool air of Hogsmeade hit their faces. The streets were bustling with students, many carrying shopping bags and chatting excitedly about the upcoming Yule Ball. Pansy looked pleased with herself, carrying her bag with the dress she had picked out, while Lilith couldn't shake the nervousness that had settled in her stomach after trying on the beautiful red dress.

They paused at the entrance, taking in the lively atmosphere. That's when Lilith spotted Harry standing a few steps away, holding a few bags of his own. He looked over at them, his eyes lighting up when he noticed Lilith.

"Hey, Lilith," Harry greeted, offering a small smile as he approached. His hair was slightly tousled from the wind, and there was a look of anticipation on his face.

"Hi, Harry," Lilith responded with a smile of her own.

Harry cleared his throat and shifted his weight from one foot to the other, suddenly looking a bit unsure of himself. "Uh, do you think we could talk for a minute? Alone?" he asked, his voice slightly hesitant but sincere.

She nodded at Pansy, silently signaling that she would be fine, and Pansy gave a playful wink before stepping away to let them have some space.

"What's up?"

"Well," Harry shifted awkwardly, clearly struggling with his words for a second, "I know it's a little last minute, but... would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?"

Lilith blinked, taken aback for a moment. She hadn't expected this, but there was something warm and earnest in Harry's expression.

Her heart didn't race or flutter, but she could tell he was being sincere. "I—" She hesitated for a second, unsure how to say it. "I'd like to go with you, Harry."

Harry's face brightened, relief washing over him. "Really?" he asked, almost as if he didn't believe she'd say yes. When she nodded, he grinned. "Great. I'll see you there then."

Lilith offered him a smile, trying to make her voice sound a little lighter than she felt. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to it."

With a final smile, Harry gave a small wave and turned to leave, walking back toward his friends. Lilith watched him go, her thoughts still processing the request.

The dorm room was filled with the sound of soft music playing from a small radio in the corner, the air thick with the scent of perfumes and the faint rustle of fabric. Lilith sat on her bed, her dress carefully laid out beside her, staring at it with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty. Pansy, however, was already in the midst of preparations, moving around with the ease and confidence of someone who had done this many times before.

"Are you going to stare at that dress all night?" Pansy teased, flicking her dark hair over her shoulder as she applied the finishing touches to her makeup. "It's a Yule Ball, not a meeting with the headmaster."

Lilith chuckled softly, running a hand through her brown hair as she stood up to slip into her dress. "I'm just not used to all this," she admitted, pulling the deep red fabric up over her head and smoothing it down. The dress fit perfectly, hugging her figure while still allowing her to move easily.

"Well, get used to it," Pansy said with a wink, "because you look amazing. We both do." She glanced at her own reflection in the mirror as she adjusted her green dress, which clung to her curves.

Lilith looked over at her, taking in her friend's appearance. Pansy had always been confident in her looks, but tonight she radiated an extra layer of excitement, her makeup flawless and her eyes glinting with something mischievous.
