Right. Back on track. 

I finally got to school just before the final bell, aat the same time some new kid walked in.

He said, in a cheerful voice to the class, "Hello, I'm Jake."

 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Oh wow, Jake is back? Surprise, surprise. My teacher Mrs.McGuire pointed towards the empty seat to my left, "Go sit there dear."

He grinned at me, I waved happily at him.

Let me start over, I met Jake in middle school, we just seemed to hit off. We became good friends, not besties like Tommy, Ash, and Benny Boy. Just friends. Later in eighth grade he moved away. He looked pretty handsome now, with blond hair and blue eyes, also he had some muscle. Whoohoo. I bet lots of girls chase after him. But hey I don't care I have a supposed mate, who, by the way, is way hotter.

I sat through boring hours of class until lunch came, hallelujah!

I leaped from my seat dragging Jake along with me. Lunch time!!! 

I raced through the cafeteria to our usual table, there already sitting was Ashley, Benjamin, and Thomas.

"Guess who the cat dragged in," I told them pointing at Jake.

Ashley, being all wolfy, took a sniff of his scent before glancing at him with sharp eyes. Both of them stood frozen staring at each other. 

I shifted uncomfortably, and glanced at Tommy and Benny with a confused expression.

"Their mates." Tommy said.

With that I marched towards Jake grabbed him by his collar and forced him to look at me, "Hurt her and I'll kill you," I hissed menacingly. 

Jake gulped. 

"Oh come on Kam, leave it be." Ash gazed adoringly at Jake. He immediately walked around the table and put an arm around possessively. Aw, they're so cute!

I sighed I wish my mate was here. 

*After School*

I drove everyone home and wanted to go for a run. I loved running through the forests, I jogged randomly and came upon a clearing. I paused in surprise, there was a giant black wolf laying there sleeping. I slowly backed away, what if it was a rogue. Of course, I ended stepping on a branch. I was mentally face palming myself. Idiot, you just had to step on a branch. I was annoyed with myself. Then I realized I actually face palmed my self. Ouch

The wolf slowly raised its big head and stared at me. Oh man, oh man, oh man. I'm dead. It slowly walked towards me then sat down a foot away from me and wagged its tail. What the.... 

It gazed at me adoringly. Okay.... I hesitantly reached out to pet it, praying it wouldn't eat my hand. The moment I touched the wolf tingles ran up my arm. The black wolf let out a purr. Then he suddenly got up and gently pulled at my pants, pulling me towards the small river. He sat down and so did I hesitantly resting myself against his side. The wolf let out a purr of content. I sighed and felt myself getting sleepy.

Soon I entirely shut down with the wolf's soft purring being my lullaby.

Assasin's POV:

I was done with today's job and went towards a clearing to rest in my wolf form. Soon I fell into a light sleep. I never sleep deeply, I've been trained to well. I was suddenly woken up by someone's breathing. I prepared my self if they attacked, but instead the person moved way.I took a deep breath an realized it was my mate's scent. I immediately relaxed. She accident stepped on a twig. I raised my head as if I had woken up because of the sound of the twig. She was staring at me with an...annoyed expression on her face. Huh? Then she face palmed her self, I choked back a laugh at her stunned expression. I walked towards her with me head lowered trying to show her that I meant no harm. I slowly sat down in front of her and wagged my tail. I was being really childish, very different from my serious self. But I couldn't help it with my wolf howling in joy, and I was sitting right in front of my mate.

She stretched out her hand out shakily, and I stretched out eager to feel her touch. The moment she touched me I could swear I was in heaven. Sparks raced down my spin as I purred in pleasure. I leaped up suddenly and wanted to pull her closer to me so I gently pulled her to somewhere more comfortable, which was near the river and we sat down. She curled up against me with me still purring. After a little bit I felt her relax against me entirely. I raised my head and gazed at her sleeping form. My god was she beautiful. There was a peaceful expression on her face, her long lashes brushed her cheeks. I was so glad she was mine. I may not have been able to be with her in my past life.... my mood darkened at the thought. I was forced to leave her, she looked so heart broken begging me to stay. Tears rolling down her cheeks as she stared pleadingly at me with her big round eyes. I nearly caved, but I had to leave to keep her safe, so when I left, I left my heart with her. It felt as if a part of my soul was being ripped away. My wolf whimpered remembering. Now that we were mortals I could be with her forever, I wasn't going to let her go. I had searched for my mate for so long and had given up hope. That is what had changed me into the dark man I am now. 

 I curled tightly around my mate vowing never to let her go again. With that promise in mind I fell asleep with the comforting scent of peaches wafting up my nose. Yummy, my mate smelled delicious. That was my last thoughts as I slumbered more deeply.
