"It's Clear! You boys can go on in"
Pairs of footsteps came rushing into the restroom until finally the door closed. A loud sigh bounced off the walls coming from the group of guys. How many are there? I try to get a better look by peeking through a sight creek in the stall door. All I could see was that he had blonde hair, he then moved out of sight, I try to see who else is in here by leaning onto the wall but it started making a creaking sound.
"Is anyone in here?"
I take a sharp breathe and clamp my hand over my mouth.
"Hey Sebastian! check under the stall see if you notice anything." said another voice coming from the group.
Luckily I was inside the last stall. Unfortunately he was moving fast. I quickly lift myself onto the rim of the toilet praying my foot wouldn't slip inside. Checking under my stall he skims it and moves onto the next. I try not to take a deep breathe until they start talking again.
"Nothing."
"Okay now lets get back to business. There's probably hundred more girls still on line but we have to talk about what just happened out there."
This guy had an accent. It sounded southern and husky. It was deep but not intimidating. Wait! are they talking about Me?.
"Sebastian, what'd you think?"
"She was good" His voice sounded smooth like he had never went through puberty. It wasn't high pitched but like it was undamaged, like he rarely speaks.
"What about you?Lucas?"
"She was a Train wreck. I still can't hear through my left ear." His voice was different. Compared to the others he was intimidating. Even though I couldn't see his face, his voice gave me a clear picture. He hates me.
"I understand the dropping of the microphone shook me a little bit too but it's no big deal. Her voice was amazing. Better than what we've seen today.
"The day's still not over. We should give the other girls a chance"
"See Sebastian agrees with me. If she can't stand on stage and hold a mic we can't have her doing that live in concert. I refuse to let her perform with us."
"I wasn't agreeing with you. She is good. But we can't make a decision now. We'll talk about this later."
I hear the door open letting whoever was inside out of the room. Convinced that I'm alone I creak open the stall door just enough to see the exit. All I need to do is get out. Then I won't be known as the idiot who wound up in the boys bathroom.
"3...2...1....Go!" I thrust the door open closing it behind me. Running straight to freedom, wrapping my palm around the door knob. I pull open the door one second after a hand slams it shut. Turning around I cover my face. What now! ?
"What are you doing here? "
That voice sounds familiar.
"Hey! Answer me! " his voice grew louder the more he spoke. I think that's the guy from before. The one who hates me.
"Are you deaf!" grabbing both of my wrists and pinning them onto the wall, he looks deep into my eyes. Heat flushed to my cheeks while I tried to look away. I remember those blue eyes.
"Hey, I know you! You're the one that dropped the mic!" He chuckled although he didn't sound happy at all. It was a slow and rugged laugh.
I tried thrust my hand out of his grip.
"Let me go you jerk"
"Your not going any where" he holds on even tighter.
"Please tell me that that performance was a joke. I mean it was pretty funny. Ha! you looked like a deer in headlights. It was pretty ugly"Can you get off, this hurts"
"This is a piece of advice; give up now, while you still have an ounce of dignity left"
Satisfied he loosens his grip and stands back eyeing me up and down with disgust.
"Heh your a joke." He spits out then turns to the door and grips the handle. I won't let him get away with that. Not after he walked all over me.
"Hey"
He ignores me.
"Hey Asshole!"
This caught his attention. He finally faces me, but I shift my gaze now looking at his red sneakers.
"Listen to me"
"What? Did you want an autograph?" He smirks
"Wipe it!" I roar
"Wipe what?"
"Wipe that stupid grin off your face! It's really pissing me off. You walk around like your some big shot pop star thinking your better than everyone. For your information until yesterday I never even knew your kiddy band exsited. I was forced to go to this event. I was forced into the contest. But I won't be forced to be in your presence a second longer. If I ever see that stupid grin attached to your stupid face it'd be too soon."
Not even waiting for a reaction I march past him and out the door to be face to face with Dakota.
"What were you doing in the boy's bathroom? " she asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"Sticking up for myself!"
