Meeting The Family (Chapter 3)

                                 Y/N POV
"Babe, It's gonna be fine!" Rodrick said taking my hand in his "My family's kinda annoying but don't worry about it."

"Don't say that, they seem like great people. I'm just a little nervous." I uttered glancing at him before returning to look at my feet.

"C'mon." He started walking up the steps before opening the door. "Hey!" Rodrick's dad announced from the dining room. We both walked into the dining room. "Hey Mr. Heffely!" I hugged him.

"Please, call me Frank, and this is Susan." I looked over at the woman who had a huge smile on her face. "Hi sweetie! You are?" "Y/N." She took me into her warm embrace.

I looked over at Rodrick who was staring at me slightly smiling. I back away from them and went back to Rodrick. "Is that a smile?" "No, what-" He shook his head.

"Greg! Get down here!" Susan yelled. "Oh! This is Manny!" Susan looked at me. "Hi!" Manny smiled at me. "Hiii!" I waved and smiled.

I looked over at the boy who was coming down the stairs, "Is that Greg?" I whispered to Rodrick. "The one and only." He spoke back. Greg looked at me with astonishment, "Oh- hi!" He smiled sweetly. "Hi Greg." I smiled back.

"Well how about we all sit down and enjoy dinner!" Susan clapped her hands together.

                              Greg's POV
"Greg! Get down here!" I heard my mom yell. I sighed and walked down the stairs when I saw a beautiful girl. "Oh- hi!" I smiled. Maybe she might like me.

"Hi Greg." She smiled back, she looks way better than Holly. We all sat down and started eating. "So Y/N. You doing anything for summer break? You have a job?" Dad spoke up. "Oh, yeah. I'm working as a life guard at the country club." She responded.

A life guard, woah. Alright, so she might be out of my league but why is she here? "Where did you too meet?" Mom asked. "I think Rodrick can answer that one." She laughed silently while wiping her face.

Wait- meet? Are they dating?! I choked on my food for a second. "Are you okay?" She looked over at me. "Oh yeah- all good." I smiled once again.

                             Rodrick's POV
I looked up from my food. "Explain what?" Dad shot me a look. "Oh- yeah, okay so. Somebody put something on her car and I walked over and helped her because I thought she was cute." I replied blankly.

"Is that it?" Mom said smiling but still giving that blank look. "Yeah." "Rodrick." Dad said in a stern voice. "What?" "Nevermind."

                                 Y/N POV
Rodrick's family is pretty nice, and I mean the cooking is just immaculate. We all ate in slience after Rodrick gave that blank answer.

Greg spoke up. "So, Y/N you said you work for the country club?" "Mhm." "Well me and my friend Rowley go there like everyday." "Oh, I know Rowley. He's a good kid." I don't know why that was so awkward but it was.

We all finished dinner and started talking again. I was talking to Rodrick while Susan and Frank were talking. I looked up at the clock. "Rodrick I gotta go." "Seriously? Alright." "Yeah I'm gonna start heading out." I started grabbing my stuff.

"It was really nice meeting you guys but I gotta go." I smiled and walked around the table hugging everybody. I kissed Rodrick goodbye, and man. He looked shocked.
