A/N

So before I begin I just wanted to say i'm gonna probably start writing in like a 3rd person POV, and also Y/N is gonna be in Rodricks band just for this chapter. Also remember the storyline is taken in like the early 2000s.

Rodrick Heffley wasn't known for his punctuality, but tonight was different. He stood outside the local movie theater, nervously adjusting his leather jacket and running a hand through his disheveled hair. The air was crisp with a hint of excitement as he waited for his girlfriend, Y/N, to arrive.

Y/N was unlike anyone Rodrick had ever dated. She understood his love for music, his rebellious streak, and even appreciated his quirky sense of humor. As he spotted her approaching, a smile crept onto his face. She was wearing a vintage band t-shirt and ripped jeans, her hair casually swept to one side. Rodrick couldn't help but admire how effortlessly cool she looked.

"Hey," Rodrick greeted her with a nod, trying to play it cool despite the butterflies in his stomach.

"Hey yourself," Y/N replied, grinning up at him. "Ready for tonight?"

Rodrick smirked. "You bet. I heard the band in this movie's soundtrack is killer."

They bought their tickets and popcorn, settling into the back row of the theater just as the lights dimmed. Rodrick's arm found its way around Y/N's shoulders, pulling her close as the opening scene filled the screen. He stole glances at her throughout the movie, enjoying the way her eyes lit up during the intense concert scenes.

After the movie, they strolled down the neon-lit streets, chatting and laughing about the film and sharing stories from their week. Rodrick was surprisingly relaxed, finding it easy to be himself around Y/N.

"You hungry?" Rodrick asked as they passed by a pizza joint that was blasting classic rock from its speakers.

"Starving," Y/N admitted with a laugh.

They ordered a large pizza with all the toppings and found a secluded booth in the corner. The pizza was hot and cheesy, and they talked about everything from music to their future dreams between bites.

As they finished their meal, Rodrick reached across the table and took Y/N's hand. "Thanks for tonight," he said sincerely.

Y/N smiled warmly. "Thanks for taking me out. It's been fun."

Rodrick leaned forward, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss. It was soft and sweet, filled with unspoken promises and the excitement of something new.

When they finally pulled away, Y/N leaned back in her seat, grinning at Rodrick. "So, when's our next gig?"

Rodrick chuckled, his confidence growing. "I'll check my schedule," he teased, already thinking about the next concert they're going to perform.

And as they walked back under the starlit sky, hand in hand, Rodrick couldn't help but feel like this was just the beginning of something amazing.
