Dear readers,
Thanks for giving 'Not unique' a chance😊 Stay with me even for such small time.😔🙏
When I was writing this book I wanted it to be something that people constantly thought of from when they woke up to when they slept.
On a bright sunny morning
On a grumpy rainy evening
So *ahem*This is the first story that I have ever written. I had this idea of a ghost novel and it somehow developed into a zombie apocalypse-type novel.
The story is filled with an abstract, complex, exaggerated form of writing.
I know you might be expecting people to constantly be running away from zombies, trying to live on the bare minimum and characters dying left, right and centre.
But NO. Well except for the killing off of characters.😄
This story talks about mental health, depression, trauma and every immoral inhumane thing that doesn't happen in the world now.
So yeah, it is a post-apocalyptic dystopian novel.
Unlike many novels that have a main character, side character and background character, mine doesn't.
Why? Because who decides who the main character is?
As someone who struggles with the idea that I might not be the centre of attention even in my own life, this story would have a similar theme.
Most protagonists have interesting, happy lives. And I live in stark boredom so I always wondered what role I played in others' lives and mine. A side character at most in others and in mine; part of the background. Those people that at age 10 can sing, play the violin, are extroverted and loved by many always seem to be the ONES.Although, you might still subconsciously make a character the main character, that's fine. I just like seeing things as is and not because "Oh. This is the main character, so it's fine"
In a way, this story contains my insecurities, questions I asked myself when I was younger, what I always wanted to be and a more unique concept of the term 'zombie'.
A zombie is a mindless being. This means they are still alive but have a hard-wired program. But why did zombies in movies only attack humans? Why not statues or animals? Were the zombies able to sense heat from humans or smell?
I used to wonder what I would do if an earthquake or a tornado happened. Just because I truly wanted to know! But my country wasn't prone to natural disasters but zombies? Rabid flesh-eating humans? That seemed more...possible.
This story might not have 'Good always prevails over evil' or 'And they lived happily ever after'
I just want pessimistic people to see the world with a silver of optimism.
This novel isn't for the faintest of hearts which is why parental guidance is suggested for kids.
⚠️If you are below 10 years and you think you can handle it, I beg you to stop😔🤚 and rethink and maybe come 4 years later.⚠️
Maybe once in a while evil should prevail and humans might not be able to always come up top after receiving a blow.
In other words, the people in this novel are f*cked😃
P.S I'm only writing this because it keeps coming back to me over and over making me feel like a deranged lunatic coupled with my maladaptive daydreaming. I can't possibly be the only one to suffer this trauma as they say, sharing is caring
Yours sincerely, Author ^_^
