Y/n's POV

"YOU DATED A SLYTHERIN?!?!" Harry shouted as soon as we made it to the Gryffindor common room.

"Oh, come on Harry. It was just a winter fling. It's not like it led to anything serious." I rolled my eyes.

"You still dated a Slytherin! They are our enemy, and you can't date your enemy!" He yelled.

"I actually agree with Harry on this." I looked at Hermione in disbelief.

"Gin?" I looked at Ginny and she looked down. "Ron?" He just shrugged his shoulders. "My God guys! Do you want to know what actually happened?" They all nod. "Fine. During winter break in fourth year, while you all went to the burrow, I stayed here at Hogwarts. The Ravenclaws threw a party that everyone was invited to. We played Truth or Dare. I got dared to kiss Astoria. It was an enemies with benefits kind of thing. Eventually we got used to each other and decided to actually try a relationship. But after like two days of being together we realized it wouldn't work, had one last snog, then broke it off. It was just something fun to do because we were bored! It doesn't mean anything."

"You still agreed to date a Slytherin. But I guess it's okay in this instance. Just please don't do it again." Harry said.

"I won't but I still don't entirely understand what's wrong with dating a Slytherin! Luna here is dating one and you're perfectly fine with it!" I pointed towards Pansy and Luna who were sitting next to each other whispering to themselves.

"Yeah, but Luna would never start dating someone unless she knew they were good at heart." Harry responded.

"Plus, have you forgotten all that the other Slytherins have done? All Malfoy does is tease and be rude to us. He calls me a mudblood, calls Harry a stuck-up orphan, calls Ron a blood traitor and Weasel, and then he's just a straight up bitch to you." Hermione added.

"I haven't forgotten that stuff and I totally agree. But if it's not serious then I don't see a problem. You have to see at least a little sense in that." Hermione nodded and Harry slowly nodded. Ginny and Ron whispered something to each other before nodding.

"That does kind of make sense. Just please don't date a Slytherin. We have no idea if they're just using you or not. They're sneaky that way. We don't want you getting hurt Y/n." Hermione added tracing her thumb over my hand and shivers immediately raced through my body. It sometimes hurt how much I longed for another person's touch.

"I know. And I'm grateful for you guys. Really, I am. It's just, sometimes you can be a little overprotective of me sometimes. That's all. Now if you'll excuse me, I need Moon's help with something." I got up from the couch I was on and walked over to Luna. I helped her up and we walked over to the painting. "I'll see you guys later." I waved to them, and they waved back and Luna and I stepped through the painting.

"What do you need?" She asked once we'd closed the painting behind us.

"To talk. But not here. We need to go to the Ravenclaw dorms." We started walking towards the Ravenclaw tower in silence. All I could hear was the tip tap. Tip tap. Of our footsteps on the tiles, and my heart beating almost out of control. It was unnaturally fast. The quickness that I usually feel when I'm about to have a panic attack. I look around Luna and I to see if anyone else is in the same corridor as us but thankfully no one is there. I feel my breathing quicken and my hand start shaking. I feel something on my hand, and I see Luna's fingers intertwining with my fingers.

"Let's sit down." She led me to the wall and helped me sit down against it before settling down in front of me. "Name five things you see around you." I look around.

"You." I look on the ground and see trash and pencils. "I s-see-"

"Shh. Breathe in slowly." I took a deep breath and refocused.
