It is 92 million years ago (Early Turonian), the central-western Queensland.

The climate of this environment is warm, wet and temperate. It wouldn't go through extreme seasonal changes like in the Wonthaggi Formation, but there are still forms of weather changes. There would have been periods of intense rainfall, causing the rise of water levels in rivers and vegetation to bloom, this period is called La Nina. There would also be periods of hotter temperatures without much rainfall, sometimes causing slight droughts, this period is called El Nino.

The vegetation consists of forests like temperate conifers (araucarias, podocarps and cypress), gingkoes and tree ferns, while the undergrowth consists of cycads, ferns, horsetails and flowering plants.

One of the first animals that arrive near the river are elasmarians, a small herd of nine individuals including two females, two males and five juveniles.

The adults are 3 meters long and 0,6 meters tall and weigh in 25 kg. The juveniles have stubbier heads and larger eyes, instead of the elongated heads of their adult counterparts. The juveniles aren't blood related to any of the adults in a herd, because they have been abounded by their parents a week ago, they join in with them for protection purposes. Although adults from the herd don't try to make the juveniles leave by force, they also aren't too keen of them approaching them to close or sharing a meal with them.

They start to drink the water, until they see another animal 10 meters away from them. This is a male Australovenator, the top predator of this environment.

He is 6 meters long, with a weight of 700 kg and a height of 1.7 meters, he is tall enough to look a human directly in the eye. He has a small coat of brown feathers on his back and arms. Orange-brown skin with black spots.

The elasmarians are immediately on guard, ready to bolt in the opposite direction as soon as he approaches them closer. The australovenator lifts his head in the air quickly scanning his surroundings and spots the herd of elasmarians. But instead of approaching them, he moves towards the water, just to take a drink and moves in the shade of a tree to rest.

The elasmarians, while still on guard, continue on with their activities eating and drinking. All seems safe, until suddenly a crocodylomorph bolts out of the water, snatching one of the unfortunate juveniles while they were close the river and quickly goes back to the water.  The other elasmarians flee from the scene in panic.
