I returned the hug, trying to ignore the pang of guilt I felt for having thoughts of another woman. I hugged him back tightly, burying my face in his shoulder. But even as we stood there, holding each other, my mind couldn't help but wander back to thoughts of Jess and her captivating presence... We eventually pulled away from the hug and began walking through the park, hand in hand. Calum started chatting away about some plans he had for our day together. But to be honest, I was only half-listening. My mind was still preoccupied with thoughts of Jess, even as I tried to focus on Calum and what he was saying.

Our day was.. uneventful... to say the least. We went to a cafe and tried something new. After that we went to three popular areas. After that we got lunch. Our feet were killing us so we called it a day and went back to the hotel. After Calum had unsatisfying sex with me in the shower and and bed we went sleep.

I fell into an uneasy sleep as my mind and heart were torn between Calum and Jessica. I woke up around eight am the next day. Today would be different than every other day we've been here though. Thats because Calum told me he got an invitation to a gala here and I was his plus one. Yipee...
