"You know the rules — you lost the bet, and now you have to pay the price," I said smugly, leading a rather dejected-looking Xavier through the building toward my apartment.

He could only sigh and press his thumb and forefinger to the bridge of his nose. "Ugh... why did I agree to that stupid bet?"

"Agree? It was your idea! I'm pretty sure you just liked the idea of me being your servant for a day." I placed my finger on the scanner and stepped aside so he could go through the door, a smirk very evident on my face. "But you forgot one crucial piece of information... I am a master at Kitty Cards."

"I didn't think the cats would betray me like that."

Closing the door behind me, I hung my jacket up on a nearby hook and shrugged. "The cats do what they want. They are their own people... cats." I quickly shook my head and blinked, pulling myself out of whatever rabbit hole I was about to get lost in. "Anyways, because you lost, that means you are now officially at my beck and call for the rest of the day."

"I suppose I did agree to it, and I don't break my promises..." He watched me closely as I moved towards the sofa, flopping onto one of the cushions with a satisfied sigh. "What exactly do you want me to do as your servant?"

I could tell he was nervous about the possibilities of what I could get him to do, and he was right to be — mischievous ideas began filling my mind and I struggled knowing what to ask him for first. After all, the rules of our bet stated he had to follow my instructions without argument.

"Do you remember that maid apron I wore on Halloween?"

"...vaguely."

"You know you do," I said with a giggle. Though he questioned it to begin with, I know Xavier very much enjoyed my sexy maid outfit. "Go put it on. Oh, and the bunny ears, too!"

Raising an eyebrow, Xavier stood and stared at me as if he thought I wasn't being serious — or more likely, he hoped I wasn't. He soon learned that I was, however, as I simply smiled at him and motioned towards the bedroom where the items I'd asked him to wear lay on top of my dresser. That was enough for him to make his way in there to get changed, and a couple of minutes later he re-emerged with a lacy black and white maid's apron tied around his waist and fluffy bunny ears protruding from a headband hidden beneath his hair.

I gasped. "Oh my gosh, you look sooo cute!"

In return to my excitement, I received a blank stare and a small sigh. "Right... what do you want me to do first, then?"

"Don't you think you should address me properly?"

"Sorry — what should I do first, ma'am?" He said, bowing slightly to add emphasis. "Anything you wish."

"First..." I trailed off, trying to pinpoint a single idea in my mind for what Xavier should do, when all of a sudden the ache between my shoulder blades returned and made me wince. "I'd like you to give me a back rub." He didn't speak a word, though his expression said everything he didn't. "Don't look at me like that! Our mission yesterday was really difficult, and whatever I did, I think I slept funny and made the injury worse."

"Well, you do sleep in some rather strange positions."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "This coming from the guy who can literally sleep standing up."

"Fair point," he replied, scratching the back of his neck. "A back rub it is."

My eyes followed Xavier as he stepped forward and sat down beside me on the sofa, giving a quick signal with his hand for me to turn around. As I was told, I shifted in my seat to face away from him, and soon after I felt his hands carefully placed on my waist and his thumbs begin to knead the fabric of my shirt.

"Xavier, that's not where the pain is—."

"Be patient. I'm working my way up." Though he continued to speak quite softly, there was a certain confidence in his voice which caught me off guard. "You asked for a back rub, so I'm going to do my job properly."

I decided to do as I was told and simply enjoy the free massage, allowing my body to relax and react to Xavier's touch; after a minute on my waist his hands travelled upwards, stroking and applying pressure in all the right places as if he was completely in tune with my body. It was pleasurable, to the point that a few small moans and groans managed to sneak their way out of my mouth. Although Xavier didn't say anything, I noticed his reflection in the mirror on the opposite wall and felt my heart flutter at the sight of his cheeks and ears tinged red, and a sly smirk plastered across his lips. He knew exactly what he was doing.

As the massage came to an end, he let his hands rest on my shoulders and leaned in close to my ear to whisper, "Feeling better now?"

The feeling of his warm breath tickling my ear made me even more flustered, causing me to quickly clear my throat and nod. "Yeah, yeah... so much better. Thank you." My face began to burn, and so I kept my back turned slightly as I tried to change the subject. "But now I'm hungry."

"Ah, do you want me to cook you something?"

"Yes, please." The words had barely left my mouth before Xavier stood up and made his way into the kitchen, beginning to look through the cupboards to see what was available. "I'd love some scrambled eggs, or maybe an omelette... with bacon! Oh, I bought some pasta last—" I trailed off, suddenly remembering the disaster that happened the last time he tried to bake apple tarts.

"Are you still worried about me starting a fire?"

His question caught me off guard, but I suppose it wasn't hard to tell I had concerns. "Yes," I said, as if the answer was obvious. "You set off the fire alarm last time — firefighters had to evacuate the building!"

"Yeah, they weren't happy... at least they let me off with a warning." He let out a nervous chuckle, scratching the back of his neck.

"That's because the lady firefighter was interested in you."

A small smile pulled at his lips. "Hm... is someone jealous?"

"Pfft, no. Don't be ridiculous." I sounded so defensive that even I didn't believe my own words, but once again, I quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, you're missing the point — I'm hungry!"

"Well, I can always order something. There's no chance of me burning anything doing that. What are you in the mood for?"

After a good few minutes of contemplation and debate, I decided we should order some Chinese food, and Xavier made me a cup of coffee while we waited. Within about 20 minutes, there was a knock on the door.

"Delivery!"

Continuing his role as my servant, Xavier stood up and went to answer the door. "Hi, delivery for Y/N?" The delivery man raised the bag in his hand, but froze in surprise once he laid eyes upon the person on the other side. "Wow. That's, uh— an interesting outfit."

I could see the tips of Xavier's ears turning red again. "Mhm. I am this lovely lady's butler."

The guy glanced past him at me and gave an awkward smile. "Butler? You look more like a maid to me." He traded the bag of food for the cash, then turned to leave. "Thanks. Have a good day."

Once the delivery man had left, Xavier slowly closed the door and turned to look at me, frowning more than he already was when he saw I was desperately trying to hold in laughter.

"You're loving this, aren't you?" I just about managed a small nod in between my giggles. "Loving me getting flustered, doing anything you want..." The tone of his voice began to transform and become more commanding as he moved towards me. "Well then, now you have your food, tell me..." In one smooth motion, he dropped the bag on the coffee table and placed his free hand on the sofa behind my head, leaning forward so he shadowed me. "Is there anything else I can do for you... master?"

Xavier's sudden dominating presence caused me to slouch into my seat as my heart quickly began pounding against my ribs. Before I knew it, he'd placed one of his legs in between mine and was running a warm hand up my thigh and under my skirt, stopping once he reached the bottom of my underwear.

He leaned in close to my ear, grazing his lips against mine. "Anything...?"

I didn't have to say a single word. The fact that my underwear was already soaking wet was the only answer he needed.
