CHAPTER 39 - Every Little Thing Reminds Me Of You

"So how was your relationship with Zee recently? Have you considered it?"

Grandma Ping a.k.a Zee's grandma voiced out as she was outside, watering the flower and the sight of Lia could be seen in the backyard.

To be precise it was like a garden. She is just sitting there as she is trimming a few flowers and putting it in a vase.

"Well...we are doing great...i guess we are fine now"

Lia said, answering grandma Ping while her eyes were still on the flower on her hand.

"Okay...but what else..."

And when grandma Ping said that, it made Lia slightly turn her head to look at her.

"What else?...what do you mean by that?"

"You know... don't y'all want to go further? Like... y'all already settled down everything right?"

Grandma Ping said again and that got Lia stopped at her tracks...as she slightly thinks this in her head.

'That's right'

Y'all know, ever since that night where both Lia and Zee confess their confusion and misunderstanding that night, everything just gets better between them. Even though sometimes it is still a bit awkward when it's just the two of them in a room, everything seems to be great...i mean it's not sour like before.

"Y'all didn't want to be a lover again? I mean... aren't you still in love with Zee actually?"

Grandma Ping said again.

"Hahaha...but I was in a relationship with someone else right now... isn't it so shameless of me for suddenly getting back with Zee...when I was the one who was breaking up with him"

"You embarrassed? To ask him out again? Is that it?"

"No! No, it's not like that...I mean, I was someone who is shameless if I still have the audacity to want him back...after all that I've done to him... isn't Zee's heart ached a lot because of me?"

" It was his fault after all isn't it? C'mon... trust me when I say that he truly wants to be with you... the only reason why he didn't ask you out right away was because he was respecting you that having a relationship with someone else at the moment"

"Really? You really... think so?"

"Yes! Yes, of course! Beside, let me ask you something...are you truly in love with the man that you've been dating now?"

And that got Lia wondering...

'Truly, Lionell was just bait to make Zee feel jealous. I just want him to feel regret...In fact, Lionell was no good then just a tool for me to use back then...but now...'

"How's Lionell to you? What do you think about him?"

"He was..."

There's a pause there as she stared at the flowers there...and as the sight of Lionell appeared in her head, she continued...

"...Good to me..."

"Only that, right?"

"He was...such a lovely guy...he makes me feel something, somehow... it's kinda hard to explain you know..."

Lia said again. And the familiar feeling was there again. Guiltiness. Leonell was not a bad guy...in fact he was truly there when she felt down. And Leonell does truly love Lia so much. Just thinking that Leonell was nothing but just a person she uses... it kinda makes her feel bad... cause Leonell is truly not a bad person.

"I still.. need sometimes to think about this matter..."

Lia finally said that as she continued trimming the flowers in the right length.
