Prologue

"Are you certain of this" Anaya questioned, unsurely. She runs her hand over the carved inscription of the cave wall.

"No" Esther admitted setting the last bowl of blood on the ledge. "It is a bad idea" Anaya confessed staring at the woman she once trusted.

"It is a worse idea to leave my children without humanity. Without even a chance to become better" Esther's voice, dull.

Anaya harshly gripped Esther's arm, her eyes full of warning. "I told you creating a new species was a bad idea. But this girl. She will possess power, unruly horrid power."

"She will be born human. Her power will be diluted for a time. And eventually she will become a vampire and possesses no power" Esther pulled her hand back anger in her eyes.

"Will you help me or are you destining the world to destruction?" The question rang in Anayas mind. She knew Esther couldn't do it alone. She didn't possess the magic.

"Are we including all of your children" Anaya questioned still unsure of the womans plan. "Yes" Esther nodded rereading the spell carved on the wall.

"Even the girl" Anaya asked. Esther's eyes shut for a quick moment. "It is a blood spell. Freya is their blood there is no way around it"

"Then we will need her blood too" Anaya words making Esther shutter "I have sent Finn to obtain it" Esther simply sighed.

"You understand that one of them must be the anchor. You cannot give all of them a soulmate" Anaya revealed although this was no shock to Esther.

"I am well aware" Esther admitted. "Who will it be then. Certainly not Niklaus" Anaya harsh voice containing warning.

"No. Niklaus is angry. Rebekah should have a chance to find love. Kol is reckless and Elijah will drown in himself and take it out on those around him" Esther explained.

"That leaves Finn and Freya" Anaya pieces together. "I wish to use Freya. Unfortunately Dahlia would not allow me near her" Esther sighed.

"Finn is just the monster as the rest of them" Anaya refused. "Finn is calm, confused, and hates himself for the monster he is"

"But he is a monster" Anaya argued. "Who do you suggest then?" Esther shouted at the witch.

"Rebekah!" Anaya declared. "No" Esther whispered in disagreement.

"She is the only choice." Anaya persuaded. "She is gentle, kind, loving, and innocent.. I cannot see a day where that will truly change"

"Don't you see. She has already changed." Esther lied. "She is ruthless and horrid. Her innocence was destroyed that night"

Before Anaya could reply a loud voice breaks into the cave. "Mother!!" Anaya hears Niklaus yell.

"Anaya you must hide. He will not spare you." Esther warned. "What do you mean?" Anaya questioned.

"He is furious. About the affair. He will kill me" Esther whispered the last part. "You must'nt think that way" Anaya reassured.

Niklaus loud angry footsteps stomp through the ground. "Hide" Esther warned. Anaya nods before whispering a spell of invisibility.

Niklaus stormed in, his eyes angry. "Niklaus, you must calm down" Esther tried to soothe.

"Calm down" Niklaus seethed "I'm a monster because of you!" His harsh voice rattled Esther. Her expression changed into a fearful one which Klaus closely noticed.

"You're afraid of me" He whispered. "You are covered in blood" Esther reminded him.

"I killed them" his voice broke. "Who?" Esther questioned. "The werewolves I saw him and killed a dozen" Klaus shaking voice whispered.
