you woke up absolutely exhausted, your energy spent crying and full of fear yesterday. you knew that the chaos kept going today as well, as you still heard mass crowds of people outside your dorm building.
you yawned and blinked a couple times, slowly walking to the door to check on furina.
furina swapped early in the morning whilst the two of you were asleep, and instead a fine purple woman was outside, guarding your room.
"oh, hello, y/n. you're awake. i apologize for the commotion outside if it awoke you. neuvillette instructed me and furina to switch guard duties. she was beginning to fall asleep.
you felt a tinge of guilt and felt bad for making furina stay up so late.
"tell her my utmost apologies.. i never intended for any of this chaos to happen..." regret filled your voice.
the kind woman shook her head and had an expression of understanding. you felt safe and comfortable from her vibes. "no need. furina is a kind soul, and she would do that for anyone in need.
you nod and you hear footsteps from behind you.
a sleepy groan came from the tall (annoying) man that you forgot was accompanying you.
the lady couldn't help but smirk and covered her mouth, coughing.
"is this the man neuvillette informed me of? alhaitham, was it?"
alhaitham nodded and grinned. "yes, i am her bo-"
"HE IS NOT! i swear to the archons, he's NOT." you yelled, trying to make your point very clear to the many people who accused the two of you of dating.
you turned to him and pointed your finger at his very handsome face.
"you. don't you think i forgot what you did to me days ago."
he snorted and looked down at you. "really? and what would that be?"
anger was rising more and more in your skull, he was playing with you.
"i should've went to a different university." you sigh out loud regretfully.
the purple woman laughs and coughs again.
"well, dating or not, your dynamic is very intriguing. i am very entertained, so thank you for that."
you smile and laugh at her reaction. "of course! by the way, what's your name? this is the first i've seen you around campus."
